That was close ! It's been such a bonkers busy day in the "Real World" that I've only just found time to get onto Hive. Then I realised I'd almost missed LPUD. Luckily I just had time to bounce 150LEO across from liquid to staked.

I have to admit that the price of LEO right now is a bit disappointing. It certainly doesn't reflect the incredible amount of effort that's been put into developing the platform ! I suspect if I tracked it in terms of Hive to LEO price it would actually be pretty stable, but the LEO to US Dollar price seems to reflect that fall in the price of HIVE.
Something I'd love to see, which I suspect might help push the price upwards, would be the ability to buy LEO directly or on exchanges for fiat currency - preferably including GBP. The process at the moment isn't too expensive in fees, but is certainly convoluted.
I use GBP to buy another crypto (I use LTC, for low fees) on an exchange - I use Coinbase Advanced Trading, which has far more reasonable fees that the extortionate rates charged on Coinbase Standard or by many other exchanges. Then I use Simpleswap via PeakD to send the LTC and convert them to HIVE. Then I turn HIVE to SWAP.HIVE. Tribaldex and Hive-Engine have a 0.75% fee for this, Beeswap's fee is 0.45% but sadly they no longer give the reward they used to. Finally, I can use my SWAP.HIVE to buy LEO.
So that's four transactions to get from GBP to LEO. Generally, buying crypto with fiat has pretty steep fees or slippage (or both), but I'd love to see a low-fee way to buy LEO with a debit card or by bank transfer. If that was available, it might push up the price of LEO as well as maybe offering a simpler and lower cost way to get HIVE.
Something else which I think would push up the price of LEO and it's adoption rate would be having some real "Buzz" out in the wider world of the internet. Something like a household name celebrity or influencer coming on board and making a TikTok about it. While I'm fully aware of the risks and issues around celebrities promoting crypto, having a good one promoting us in an honest and transparent way would be a dream.
I continue to believe that LEO and HIVE are massively undervalued. How can meme-coins with their only case being a speculative gamble be worth more than the varied ecosystem and community we've all built ? It shows how crazy the world is !
