So I returned home from work today with an awesome surprise.

I sprouted this seed over 4 years ago and was getting pretty impatient. I run a small produce stand here in North Carolina in the summer selling peaches, tomatoes, whatnot. I kept seeds from one of the varieties i was selling, they were the best peaches I’ve ever tasted in my life, and I’ve eaten a LOT of peaches lol. This variety is called an early elberta. Many old timers may remember these, but they are not grown commercially anymore unfortunately. They lost their cold heartiness over the decades. I have about 50 more pits/seeds in cold storage. If they turn out good I’m planting an orchard on my property by the river.

And my wife thinks I’m demented now. I was only joking but she doesn’t believe me 😂
