Genesis League Sports (GLS) Team has announced the much-awaited milestone towards the game launch for Genesis League Goals (GLG) with the introduction of Pack Opening. In partnership with the Major League Soccer Players Association (MLSPA), the team has finalized player rosters and stats to be used in the game, making it more interesting for fans to choose and play with their favorite players.
There are a total of 396 cards available, including all players and coach cards, which can be collected by opening packs. Each GMLSPA pack consists of 5 cards, with each card having a 5% chance of being a Gold Foil. Additionally, users can purchase and use Scout Passes to double their chances of receiving Gold Foils during pack opening. Scout Passes can be bought from the shop/pack opening page at a price of 60 Credits or 0.06 GLUSD.
Coach Cards are a type of support card that offers formations and buffs to the game, with more details about skills and stats to be shared later. Player Cards are a single card in the game, depicting an MLSPA player, which will participate in and play the game against opponents. Each card will have a front and back view, showing different stats and abilities. There are four positions to be covered in the game, Goalkeeper (GK), Defender (DF), Midfielder (MF), and Forwards (FW).
Player cards will have two types of stats, Offensive and Defensive, based on real-life performances of players on the field from the previous season. A list of all stats is shown in the table below. Card backs will represent the level of card with the player name and show the dynamic stats of the card that change after every game played. Users will be able to apply Skills or attach Equipment to cards to enhance their player card's abilities and stats, with more details about each item to be shared in a later post.
To form a team and play the game, users will need a minimum of 8 cards, including 1 coach and 7 player cards. The breakup of player cards will be as follows:
1 Coach (Co)
1 Goalkeeper (GK)
2 Defenders (DF)
2 Midfielders (MF)
2 Forwards (FW)
In addition to the above list, users will be able to choose 5 players as substitutes and up to 10 reserve players per team.
As a special promotion, GLG is allowing extra boosts for Gold Foil cards for the next 8 weeks to incentivize pack opening. These boosts only apply after the use of Scout Pass and are a total percentage chance for each card to be Gold Foil. The Gold Foil chance is as follows:
15% Gold Foil chance for the first two weeks (week 1 & 2) of pack opening
13% Gold Foil chance for weeks 3 & 4 of pack opening
12% Gold Foil chance for weeks 5 & 6 of pack opening
11% Gold Foil chance for weeks 7 & 8 of pack opening
After 8 weeks, Scout Pass boost will be set to normal, i.e., 10% (double of 5%) as stated above in the Scout Pass section.
