Holiday day 2 - a long walk and more food!

in #mobilephotographylast year

I managed to get a good nights sleep last night which doesn't tend to happen that often. I wouldn't say I felt refreshed though, often I find I feel worse if I sleep well. Not sure what that's all about.

It was the usual routine of getting up, feeding the cats and taking Lola out for a walk around the local playing field. Then it was Lola's time for breakfast along with the tablets to help the pain and swelling in her leg.

I then decided to head out and do my long walk along the beach and back as I've not done it in a good long while. The route it just over 4 miles and was perfect for some time with my own thoughts and the occasional podcast. I didn't go quick today so it took just over 90 minutes.

It was a relatively calm day after a few days of high winds. Perfect walking weather although I did miss not having Lola join me. It was quite pretty looking south down the coast.

Always time for a quick selfie when you're not heading anywhere fast!

I heard something going on behind me and found a local fishing boat was being put out to see. There are plenty of old tractors in the village as this is the only way for them to launch. The village lifeboats are pushed into the see in exactly the same way.

The sun started to poke through the clouds at one point and it was a perfect contract of cloud shadows and sunlight bouncing off the sea.

I walked slightly further south than usual and make the lifeboat shed my turn around point. Some brave locals have done some fantastic things since the lifeboat went independent in 1969 (if I remember correctly). They've done a huge amount of fund raising in recent years and they're waiting delivery of a new mega fancy boat.

I generally walk through the local cemetery on the way home and usually stop at the memorial for those lost lifeboat men lost in 1903.

I spent much of the day thereafter attempting to fix my eldest daughters laptop. I've no idea how she manages to break it so often! A rebuild and new RAM chip installed and it's almost back to normal.

Supper today was roasted aubergine and red pepper linguine. Nice, quick and jolly tasty.

Seems like a reasonable day. We've just arrived in Québec. A bit wet, but will explore soon.

Good to see your journey was relatively straight forward.

The beach look so relaxing but windy !💯

Thankfully it was pretty calm yesterday. A good change after a few days of 40mph winds.
