Fenway Park Monochrome Monday

We recently had to go for a drive to do what many people in the New England area do: drive to Boston for a doctors appointment. Thankfully this one wasn't anything crazy or dangerous but it was one that required the specialized skills of someone that has a sophisticated practice in the heart of one of the best healthcare centers in the world.

When we were there I figured that I would show my son some of the sights that we enjoyed a few years ago when we lived inside the city and it was a nice trip down memory lane. I got to visit the Fenway Park area that we walked by quite often throughout the year and reminisce about what it felt like, albeit in a different season than normal lol.

We got to walk around the whole park and there weren't really many people around which was nice. One of the things that would have been nice but I wasn't sure exactly how we could do it was go inside the park so I could show him around. I'm hoping that we can do that in a few weeks with the spring season and opening up of the park a little bit more to tourists and people outside. Right now it looks like they are doing mostly fixes and repairs which is understandable, considering the off season nature of it all right now.

I loved seeing the famous signs like this one. My son didn't quite appreciate it as much since he's more interested in running around and likely would have enjoyed being inside the park more lol but I can't blame him. He still had fun walking around the park and seeing how big it was. I like the look of these pictures in black and white though, with it being such a historical monument it makes it feel like these photos are a bit older than they are! Lol

I'm hoping that we can make our way back into it in a few months to actually get inside and I think my son would enjoy it more. I know there are other places around that he would likely enjoy but we wanted to show him one of the big things for us when we lived here as a way to show him what his parents were interested in.
