It's a misty Monday morning here in the UK and the milky sunlight looks great for a bit of #monochromemonday curated by @old-guy-photos
I'm playing around with the filters of the smartphone to give the photos that old timey look.
Photographers often try to avoid vinyetting but sometimes it can make a photo more atmospheric. If the subject is right.

Another filter gives that sepia look. Looking at the subject of the photos you could easily imagine that these are old photos. (If it wasn't for the telegraph poles?) For younger readers a telegraph pole is basically an early version of email using Morse code!

The house and barn do look pretty ancient. Probably dating from the 1850's or maybe even earlier 1750's?
The next filter is sepia and gives that orange appearance. When photography was getting started many different chemicals were used with varying effects.

This is the original photo below. As you can see the colour changes everything?
The early morning mist was just right to use the olde worldly filter effect treatments on this image.
