W126 - Let There Be Grunge!

Yeah, I've been known to dabble in other genres of music.. and this one is for @ablaze as these are some top tier grunge songs that everyone most probably knows... but they hit on the heavier side of the spectrum... Awesome! 😃

During the early nineties I lived just north of Seattle.. in a little town called Edmunds.. and later in a town called Everett up north a piece.. all while working at Redhook Brewery, crankin out the IPA and other frosty beverages from RH.

Ahh.. nothing like a blast from the past!! 😂 Get those headphones on and turn it up! 🤘

First up we have: We Die Young by Alice In Chains.

This tune from AIC is my top pick from the album Facelift. Well it's a toss up between this and Sea of Sorrow. Yes I know everyone knows about Man in the Box.. but I got tired of it being repeatedly played on MTV at the time. 😄

Next up we have Rusty Cage by Soundgarden

This is my second top tier pick.. This one just hits all the right notes if ya get my meaning. Badmotorfinger is the best of SG.

This one is from the Core album, the likes of which STP never even came close to making another album that is on par with this one IMO.

I almost did an early nineties Seattle Tuesday theme this week! I went songs from 1988 instead. Great songs my dude! I was gonna do Soundgarden,Alice & Mother Love Bone.

Amazing choices! Think AIC and Pearl Jam are my favourites from that era but they are all so damn good! Been lucky enough to see Alice live but sadly it was after Layne's passing.
