Music - Thursday in Corbetta

in #music3 years ago

The other day I posted about a church here in Corbetta where a recorded miracle took place. Well tonight we are going to visit the square where they are celebrating the anniversary of that miracle ... 467th anniversary as the miracle occurred 17 April 1555

So what has that got to do with music you may ask??? Well, that is a very good question ....

The Moody Blues - Question

Since the last time we were in Europe (September 2019) Uber prices have gone through the roof so as to be almost unaffordable. Ten in days in Ferno we walked more than 67 kilometers (40 odd miles). After a couple of days of walking around our new digs we implored our host to lend us a bicycle...and he obliged by bringing two.

My gallant steed below ... crocked my leg after a long cycle with the saddle too low and bike's short stem

Super state of the art technology indeed ..... but it serves its purpose

Billy Joel - Vienna

Tom Waits - I hope I don't fall in love with you

Right, just wanted to share some music before we head out ... and the time has arrived for me to walk. I shall share some pics of the festival....

Thanks for stopping by. Stay safe, stay free and love the one you are with.

Namaste

A lot of prices are going through the roof x_x

Yay for the host lending you bikes :)

Bikes help but back to walking for a few days to give leg a break. I raised the saddle and moved the handle bars as far as possible forward..... so will be in the saddle just now as my wife wants to go find a decent hairdresser.

How are your projects coming on. I stop by your blog from time to time but most of the content goes straight over my head :(

It's generally not the worst idea to be varying up your exercises anyway ;D

Projects are coming on. That's okay, the stuff I'm doing is currently stupid technical and probably boring to most people ^_^; sadly it's a lot of work that has to get done for me to be able to do what I want how I want (I'm very particular about this) but I don't think I'll actually get to that point -_- but I'll keep trying anyway.

Did you manage to find a decent hairdresser?

My friend, do you have 'finished' project stuff that one can view? I like a little kid outside the candy store waiting for it to open .... and it's Sunday night and I have been waiting since this morning {sniff}....

Nope to the hairdresser and she opted out of my offer to give her a cut using my faithful Wahl unit. Yesterday she cycled into the old village where we saw three hairdressers, but they are all closed on a Monday. So today it is but at present it is bucketing down rain (how splendid!!!) ... so hair will continue to irritate her for at least another day {smile}

Sadly no, just some really old stuff and even then that's mostly sneaks and wips than finished. It just takes me a very long time to get anything done and that's partly the amount of time that I have to work in (and even work sessions are constantly interrupted) and partly because I need to be happy enough with something to call it done (there's not many occasions where I'm completely happy with something I've done so have to settle for near enough otherwise I would never get anything done).

Unfortunate about the hairdresser, hopefully she'll find one that she likes when they're all open finally. On the bright side at least you're getting plenty of exercise?

Correct, plenty exercise. She pulled into a mens barbershop and is very happy with the result at half the price

Yay awesome :D

You made it to Italy! weehoo!
How is it? First impressions and all?
And the town square festival?

Howdy stranger .... we just about neighbours now... Love Italy, first VERY BIG impression is the language is a bigger challenge than anticipated !!!

Town festival???? Main event was apparently at 20h00.... we arrived at 20h00 and the place was empty .... all the stalls had packed up with a few exceptions. We could not even get a coffee

we just about neighbours now

Hahahahaha soooo funny! Everybody thinks that when not from Europe, Europe is so small 😂😂😂 Well, it is compared to so many none-European countries 🎶

Town festival????

Really? 😂😂😂
On a positive note: Many of these events must take place. I know we have many of them in my tiny country of the lowest lands of all. Must be similar in Italy as well! Next round/time I wish you guys more fortune 🥳

A very pleasant surprise is the amount of really nice eye candy {smile} ....

We leave on the 30th down to the coast to a seaside village (town?) called Senigallia where we will be staying for a month seeking a long term rental.

As regards Europe's size, our province of Western Cape (1 of 6) one could fit three Italy's into

Had to use Google for that town. Never been there. Been to Rimini for a few hours when I was checking out San Marino.
Haven't spent too many vacations in Italy. As a matter of fact: Just one. Travelled around by car. Highlights: Sienna and the restaurants in remote places in the hills/mountains of Tuscany. And Rome of course. Owww, Milano I kinda liked it as well. Venice: a must but such a great disappointment. Pisa: couldn't spend more than 5 minutes, way too touristy.
For work have been to Rome a few times.
But, I always tell myself: Edje you shall pay more attention to Italy in terms of chill time!
Further down south, the real south of Italy seems to be laidback. Also a lot of poverty, I'm hearing. Never been there, so I cant tell.
Hope you'll find a great long term rental!
Hahahaha true true... One province fitting half of Europe. Sucha. strange continent this Europe.
