The Condition
I know you humans have things that you do everyday like eating, sleeping, and going to the bathroom. But I bet none of those things makes you go blind.
That's what happened to me two months ago, and it's happening again now.
You see, I'm growing and every time I do that my skin gets all tight. Feel like I'm squeezed into a tube. So it's time for that skin to go bye-bye.
The Shedding
The first thing to happen is that my body doesn't want to bend as easily as it used to. Then when I bend, the skin kind of folds instead of bending smoothly. And finally, I go blind. I can still sense light but I can't make out anything clearly because my eyes are all clouded over.
And now, I'm starting to feel all itchy all over my body and soon my new skin will separate from my old skin, the cloudiness on my eyes will fall away, and I will have to crawl out of my own skin!
The pictures and experiences described in this post are my own. They were taken by my owner!
My name is Pancho. I'm a boa constrictor. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
