It's time for an update on how things are going with DUO! We have a couple of positive changes that I think you will all like.
HP Growth
Right now we're sitting at 10,524.913 HP! That is amazing considering we're not even through with July yet.
Everything has been powered up to this point. We'll be staking all Hive-Engine tokens earned through July to create a baseline for curation. After that, 90% of all tokens, HBD, etc., will be sold off and paid out as dividends. Only 10% will be staked or powered up in order to grow the project. As stated before the week of Aug. 1 we will start live dividends.
Right now, nothing has been delegated to the HOC account while we're still growing the project. We didn't set an exact timeline for this, but we will announce this change once it's effective.
Curation Update
These past few days we had to shift the voting weights up a few times to use up more of our mana, so moving forward we want our stackers to know that the voting weights we set out in these post are a target and we will continue to monitor the situation and adjust the vote weight as needed, we are also going to look into manual curation, We have already started with that but more on that a bit later in this post.
The reason the voting weights must be variable is because there is a variable demand, if it was the same amount of user publishing a daily post at the exact same time it would be fairly easy to have fixed voting weights but that's not the reality. If we offered fixed rates we would have to err on the conservative side offering smaller votes, and we don't want to do that. We want to give all DUO stakers (minimum 200 DUO) maximum returns while maintain good voting mana, we are currently sitting at 87% .
200 DUO staked - 40% vote
300 DUO staked - 50% vote
400 DUO staked - 60% vote
500 DUO staked - 70% vote
600 DUO staked - 75% vote
700 DUO staked - 90% vote
800 DUO staked - 95% vote
900 DUO staked - 100% vote
1000+ DUO staked - 100% vote
As set out before in the white paper, the three founders (@bitcoinman, @bulliontools and @thebighigg) will only receive up to 50% of the maximum vote based on their respective tier, we kept our voting weight
Manual Curation input from stakers!
The DUO team has been brainstorming about including a bonus manual curation to add another option for reangling the voting mana, we realized that this may be difficult to make fair to all our stakers since this manual curation would be unpredictable and sporadic, So far we opted to self vote the DUO update posts, this is the most fair since it will increase the voting power and dividends for all qualifying stakers.
However we are always open to suggestion and take deep consideration of our stakers opinions and ideas, the main thing we are after this manual bonus curation is to insure it is fair.
Dividends Update
Speaking of valuing our stakers ideas and suggestions, in our previous DUO update post we the founders announced that we would initially take the funds allocated to us for managing the project and use them to buy other tokens to further increase the dividends as well as the accounts hive power so we could give our stackers even more value, we had some great suggestions and we also had a semi related suggestion from @servelle using the reward app to get liquid hive faster in order to deliver our dividends, this is not a total solution but it's something, we appreciate you and everyone else leaving feedback and suggestion.
Daily dividends are right around the corner scheduled to start on Aug. 1, 2024. As per the white paper 90% of all funds received from curation will go into the dividends as well as any profit the DUO account gets from staking other tokens. The remaining ten percent will stay powered up or be powered up.
Tipping
Just as a reminder, you must stake 200 DUO to receive dividends and be eligible for post curation.
The tipping requirements are as follows:
500 staked tips 0.1 (1x/day)
1k staked tips 0.2 (1x/day)
5k staked tips 0.3 (1x/day)
10k staked tips 0.5 (2x/day)

Right now, DUO is being sold for 1 Hive each. The first tranche of 20,000 sold out quickly and we're in the second right now with 39,507 DUO left in this tranche
The next tranche will be 60,000 DUO at 1.5 Hive each, you are still very early and will have a greater ROI buying now!
