Calabar is the Capital of Cross River State, It’s Located in the Southern part of Nigeria, it’s popularly known for its tourist Attractions, It’s one of the largest city in Nigeria. This State was named by the Spanish since the 15th century and it has served as international seaport since the 16th Century. Since they have a large area of water (rivers)that’s somehow connected to the Atlantic Ocean , plus there share boundaries with the Country Cameroon.

TOURIST ATTRACTIONS
They have the Slave trade Museum Obudu cattle ranch/mountain resort,Marys Slesssors House,Kwa falls(water falls),Cross River National Park,Agbokim waterfalls And many more you would love to see.

THE OBUDU CATTLE RANCH OR MOUNTAIN RESORTS.
It’s a mountain resort that was found back in 1951,it’s a beautiful and calming environment it has lounges, huts, and very good Mountain View. The best time visit is during festive periods like December cause the weather is favorable and it gives a fantastic view,

THE LANGUAGE
They have three(3)different languages Efik,Bekwara,Ejagham and I would say it’s one of the hardest native language to learn or speak amongst all languages in Nigeria speaking from experience.

THE FOOD
Calabars have a lot of food I will state few of them,Atama abak, soup,Ekpang nkukwo,Egusi soup is a very popular soup amongst them it’s served with fufu or eba,Cassava Leaf soup or sauce,And many more.

I remembered clearly the first time I went to the village and was served cassava leaf soup I was in shock and astonished to speak.
Please take note the Calabars are different from the Ibibo people (Uyo) their language food, traditions are different since it’s widely and generally misunderstood by some Nigerians.
