Hive Borehole Porject: Completing Works on Phase 1

in #offlinehive16 days ago

Hive Water Project is ongoing, and work is progressing well. Hopefully, by the close of this week, we will bring all work to completion and unveil the new water facility. This post is to share the latest developments about the ongoing project in Nsuta Kwagyei. Work commenced with the drilling, which is normally completed on the same day, and we were glad that the whole process was successfully done.

Following the drilling, one crucial aspect is the pump installation and water testing. These tasks have been carried out well, and the water is already flowing in large quantities, which is a good sign of water abundance. After the pump installation, they flushed out more dirty water, which eventually made way for clean water.

There are some areas that can present significant obstacles when drilling for groundwater due to geological challenges and low rainfall, but the southern part of Ghana seems different. Nsuta Kwagyei is in the Ashanti region, where they experience more rainfall most of the year, so accessing water isn't as challenging as in the North, where we have already constructed four boreholes.

This is indeed good progress, and it has brought much joy to the residents who are eagerly anticipating the completion and launch soon. Following this phase will be the second phase, which will involve structural development. This is also a crucial aspect that will help give the project a good shape; work will include a series of construction tasks that will make the water easily accessible and prevent contamination while in use.

With the good team we have in place for all the project work phases, we are confident that the work will be meticulously done to ensure not only that the work is of high quality but also to help ensure the project's long-term sustainability.

We are pleased with how far we've come and excited to see another project that will change lives. This is an effort in the right direction, thanks to the Hive ecosystem for the support and to everyone who has supported us. We will keep everyone updated on any developments that come up later. Thanks for your time and attention.
