Continuing a bit with the theme of some of my most recent posts in which I have tangentially and accidentally mentioned the devil and the truth in some of them. Let me now take advantage of an interesting discussion started by my friend @meno on one provocative & engaging subject in his most recent article so I can continue playing my usual role as devil's advocate on these thorny matters 'on tha blockchain' one more time.

The truth is that these are not topics that I myself often address. But in view of the coincidences I mentioned above, I think that the occasion is propitious to encourage a little more #discussion and to go a little deeper into it. Because in these times that are running and in the way the world is going, I suppose it is necessary to discuss a little more and understand a little better these issues of religions, beliefs and superstitions.

So to get into the context of what I want to discuss today in this post and start the discussion in the most precise and illustrative way possible. First of all, I will begin by sharing with you a couple of videos which you should watch from start to finish and only then obtain the credentials to be able to give a coherent opinion on the matter.

And then, at the end, I might also add some eloquent images and a few paragraphs to read to further reinforce the idea of what I really want to discuss in this post. Thus, I hope you won't be alarmed or frightened by what you are about to watch and hear next. Because I have no choice but to trust in your boundless curiosity and good judgment for learning new things. Okay, let the debate begin then!

Alright, once said what I said, and hoping that you really have had the patience to watch both videos from start to finish. In what follows you will find what I promised. A few pictures and several paragraphs to read that I hope and aspire will contribute to helping you comprehend better what is clearly intended to be discussed in this post. Good luck!

Whispers

  1. Martin Luther did not like the Catholic Church and founded the Lutheran Church.

  2. Jean Calvin did not like the Lutheran Church and founded the Reformed or Calvinist Church.

  3. Henry VIII did not like being denied his Catholic marriage and founded the Anglican Church.

  4. John Smith did not like the Anglican Church and founded the Baptist Church.

  5. William Miller did not like the Baptist Church and founded the Adventist Church.

  6. Ellen G. White really liked what William Miller said and founded the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

  7. Charles T. Russell did not like the Adventist Church and founded the Jehovah's Witnesses.

  8. Joseph Smith did not like the Methodist Church and founded the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormons).

  9. John Wesley did not like the Anglican Church and founded the Methodist Church.

  10. Some pastors did not like the Methodist Church and founded the Pentecostal Church.

And many did not like the Pentecostal Church and founded thousands of different churches such as Stop Suffering, Assemblies of God, the Light of the World and so on. And that's without even mentioning the Eastern Orthodox Church and the myriad of churches that have existed throughout the centuries and the variety of Gods that were worshipped in them. So, the only thing we want to know through this post is the following:

  1. Are you one of those who has blind faith in an omnipresent, omniscient and omnipotent divine and supernatural being who knows and sees everything?

  2. I mean, do you believe in any God and go to his church to pray to him and ask him for things?

  3. If your answer is positive, could you tell us what God is it and what He has done for you to make you believe in His existence?

  4. Hey! watch out! that I'm not being sarcastic, dismissive or pejorative here, eh? It's just simple curiosity that as a good agnostic I would love to know why you believe what you believe.

  5. And if as a non-believer you ask me why I don't believe in any God and if I do, which Church would I like to attend and belong to? Well, maybe I would tell you that I would like to attend and belong to the Pentecostal Church. But yeah, only for the good music and their good vibes. Because for me, if there is a God, He definitely must live in music!

some people actually feel delight on the idea that they picked the right religion... 3000+ Christian denominations, but they picked the right one.

its telling..

So, that means you are a believer? :)

Then, to which of these 3000+ Christian Church denominations do you belong to and why?

I'll show you something I started... maybe to my own detriment.
