In the following photograph, you can see an ordinary dandelion
(Taraxacum officinale)
The scene in this shot looks like something photographed on one of the vast meadows in rural areas or at least on some large lawn, but that's an illusion ...
... this is one of the flowers that grew on the narrow stretch of lawn in front of the MOT test station for cars.
A friend of mine had to terminate his old car and return the license plate to this station on the outskirts of the city. While he was doing the paperwork in the office, I was waiting outside.
As always while waiting, I decided to fight the boredom with my camera.
At one point, I heard a loud sound coming from somewhere above me.
A moment later, I noticed the winged machine. The airplane was flying unusually low.
This isn't a regular flight that transports people from here to there or vice versa. This is more like driving school in the sky. But not for beginners. These flights are organized for pilots that have experience in piloting different types of airplanes, here they can get enough practice with this one.
I like these events a lot. It's like a free airshow.
I spent only about fifteen minutes in front of the test station. My friends got everything done quicker than I expected. Before driving away, I photographed this lovely blue butterfly on the lawn. The family is Lycaenidae, but I'm not sure about the exact species. Could be the Celastrina argiolus. Or Cupido alcetas. Or something else.
AND THAT'S IT. AS ALWAYS IN THESE POSTS ON HIVE, THE PHOTOGRAPHS ARE MY WORK - THE END.
