FIFTEEN MINUTES IN SUBURBIA

in #photography3 years ago

In the following photograph, you can see an ordinary dandelion
(Taraxacum officinale)

The scene in this shot looks like something photographed on one of the vast meadows in rural areas or at least on some large lawn, but that's an illusion ...

... this is one of the flowers that grew on the narrow stretch of lawn in front of the MOT test station for cars.
A friend of mine had to terminate his old car and return the license plate to this station on the outskirts of the city. While he was doing the paperwork in the office, I was waiting outside.
As always while waiting, I decided to fight the boredom with my camera.

At one point, I heard a loud sound coming from somewhere above me.

A moment later, I noticed the winged machine. The airplane was flying unusually low.

This isn't a regular flight that transports people from here to there or vice versa. This is more like driving school in the sky. But not for beginners. These flights are organized for pilots that have experience in piloting different types of airplanes, here they can get enough practice with this one.
I like these events a lot. It's like a free airshow.

I spent only about fifteen minutes in front of the test station. My friends got everything done quicker than I expected. Before driving away, I photographed this lovely blue butterfly on the lawn. The family is Lycaenidae, but I'm not sure about the exact species. Could be the Celastrina argiolus. Or Cupido alcetas. Or something else.

AND THAT'S IT. AS ALWAYS IN THESE POSTS ON HIVE, THE PHOTOGRAPHS ARE MY WORK - THE END.

Wow I totally didn't know the official name for a dandelion until today!!!

I didn't know it until dandelion's first appearance in one of my posts. 😀 On that occasion, probably two years ago, I found it on the Internet.

Thank you very much for the information I always like learning something new.

Once upon a time I was really big into Latin names for things.

Right now I'm trying to learn a crazy new skill called ammunition reloading. Apparently it really isn't as easy as I originally thought.

Oh well I'm going to have some fun with it that's for sure

That blue butterfly is really tempting, if I find it, I'll make the picture perfect, hehehe t

🙂

It is good that he continues fighting his boredom in this way, to entertain our eyes, beautiful everything.

Great capture of the plane @borjan.
The dandelion is beautiful, its one of those flowers that is looked over most of the time. 🌼🌼

Amazing picture I really like it did you take the photo at the airport

I like your last picture of a blue butterfly, even though you don't know much about the species but the picture you captured is very entertaining.

Excellent photos @borjan(76), as a nature lover I really liked the blue butterfly and the dandelion, I think that the most beautiful thing is in the simple, congratulations.

Thanks 🙂

Do you know? Seeing a white butterfly on grass is much better than a plane
beautiful blossom meadows🌻

Dandelion is such a very healthy plant. The root is used primarily to promote liver and gallbladder function, in dyspepsia and loss of appetite, and leaves increase urine output.

True. It's a great free food that grows practically everywhere.
