Abstract Photography - Never Run Out of Ideas

Disco doorway?

It's a drab dreary day in London with drizzling rain and an overcast sky.
The world is still going to hell in a handbasket but live goes on.

Dismal Day

Not the most inspiring opening for a blog on photographic ideas but it is exactly what you need to create new ideas. Take walk around your home for photo opportunities.

Tip 1

Get up Close and Personal

20220316_115422.jpg

Focus tight on the subject. Nothing else matters.

Tip 2

Get Unusual Angles

Cut out any extraneous background and zoom in to fill the frame.

Tip 3

Photograph the Mundane

The above Covid19 test kit has become ubiquitous in our everyday lives but is a sign that for those that survived so far all of our lives have changed.

Tip 4

Textures

20220316_115122.jpg

Search for textures in everything. You may be surprised what you find.

Tip 5

Photograph Anything

Don't restrict yourself. Get low to the ground or high up. Top down views or bottom up. Try seeing things from a cat or dog's eye view.

Final tip.

Steal Ideas

The first photo above was inspired by a photography meme that went viral some time ago.

Everybody steals ideas from other people. That's life but give a credit to those that inspired you if you know their name.

Have fun and get snapping. 👍

We go from a pandemic to nearly WW3 with nary a breath between. Surely these are strange times!

Tell me about Paul. We have got the biggest piles of crap ever to draw breath.... running the world!

How did we end up here?

Corruption is the new normal. If you're not bent you don't get anywhere. Regardless of how hard you work.

We've got 5 million+ people working full time jobs in the UK that cannot afford to eat and relying on food banks?
#wtf
Strange times indeed my friend.

The world is still going to hell in a handbasket but live goes on

Ohh yes thats so true but we have to keep on keeping on

good tips for ideas for mundane days I think i worked out what they all were except for the last one

Thanks for joining Wednesday Walk :), I truly enjoy exploring the world virtually each Wednesday seeing walks from all around the globe and feeling I am there and experiencing it all myself, such as I did in your post just now :)

Hi Jay, well done on guessing the images. Pretty easy for a photographer of your standing.

I'm just getting back into the swing of things online and have a stack of photos and videos to process and edit.
It's a bit daunting but I've made a start.

As you say. @tattoodjay

we have to keep on keeping on

Glad to be part of the #Wednesdaywalk community. We do find fascinating stuff.

The last photo disguised as Roman columns was in fact. Wait for it. A tiny screwdriver set.
🤯😂👍

Ohh yes I should have guessed the screwdriver set seems so obvious now lol

Haha it's like common sense once it's pointed out.

Exactly
Have a great day
