A lovely start to the weekend

in #photography2 years ago

I slept well after another early night so was up early again, around 05:15 this morning. The cats were pleased as they're already queuing for their breakfast at that time. Lola is always pleased to walk regardless of the time.

I dug out some old SixStringBliss podcasts to listen to this week so that sorted today's entertainment. I also pottered around the house and supermarket listening once we got back.

Oh, as you may have spotted (not that you'll be looking out for it), I was listening on some AirPods. I tried my luck at some generic jobbies off Amazon for £20. Jolly impressed with them.

We headed to the Roman ruins this morning and arrived around sunrise. It would have been nice to be on the beach but I didn't want Lola to overdo things on her leg again. It was around freezing and rather lovely.

The ruins are located next to a decent size, dog safe field so Lola got to have a good sniff around some new smells.

The sun looked rather lovely as it started appearing over the houses.

I'd not made a cooked breakfast in a long while so fixed that. If anything I fixed it rather too much so thankfully my youngest was around to give me a helping hand. Out of everything I have to say I think the courgette cooked in olive oil was my favourite thing. Many see to think it odd for a cooked breakfast but it really is great.

I'm not too sure what's in store for the rest of the day. I started setting up all my guitar and recording software yesterday so maybe I'll aim to finish that off. Youngest daughter also wants to pop out somewhere as the eldest has a few friends over later.

You always get such fabulous skies!

Breakfast looks relish 😍

That's a good start to the day. I really miss the old Six String Bliss community that brought us together. I am trying to build new ones on Hive.

It's great having some historical sites nearby. I think there is some Roman stuff near here, but not as good as yours unless you go to somewhere like St Albans.

I very rarely do a cooked breakfast. I had some cereal today, but there were croissants when I got back as the kids are home.
