An alarm set for 3:50 doesn't sound very pleasant, but during spring and summer, you need to count on this time to catch the sunrise in the Czech Republic.
At 4:40 I arrived at the bottom of Skalka Hill and parked the car in the parking lot below the slope a 40-minute walk with an elevation gain of 436m and a total distance of 2.2km awaited me.
Even as I approached the place by car I noticed the high winds and too many clouds over the rising sun point and wondered if it was a good idea to climb up. On the other hand, I was already there and it would have been a shame to get back in the car and drive off without walking.
I decided to continue and my predictions were correct. At 5:30 I stood at the top of the hill, but unfortunately, the clouds had not parted.
Sometimes, unfortunately, the sunrise or sunset doesn't happen, but it's not just about the photo you're waiting for, there are other things you have to love.
