Well, maybe not exactly new, but now newly registering and witnessing transactions on this blockchain we all love. Before I get into who, I want to play a little scenario that went through my head while seeing things unfold recently. Story telling time! Are you ready @snook?
So as I was cruising on my hoverboard through the vast wastelands of the nothing and saw the rockbiter losing his motivation, I happened across a hidden gem that had fallen from his crunchy stones.
This gem was shiny, and within, I could see things. It was almost as if the #Splinterlands were unified and I could see faces I'd never seen before. Some had two sides, some had three and some? Some were recognizable. Faces with one side.
So when the Lorax started speaking, I remember him saying,
"UNLESS someone like you
cares a whole awful lot,
nothing is going to get better.
It's not."
UNLESS
I will admit, for awhile, I didn't care. Sure, I helped around the Castle and made sure my PIMPs were getting theirs. I even attended the meetup for the #silvergoldstackers out in Vegas again. Mainly because I kick ass at Yahtzee and wanted to win a pile, HA!
But I'd lost the gumption. I'd lost the motivation for this place here - Hive - that once drove me to 28 hour days and oodles of heated and passionate discussions. The conclusion was that - I was really only here for you.
You are why I'm still here. The friends, the family, the comradery - I couldn't just walk away. I wanted to, several times. I wanted to disappear. I mean fuck, my house burned down and I lost my doggie and countless priceless irreplaceable items. I could and can easily make money elsewhere, and let's face it, that's why most of you are here.
But I've built things. Communities and strongholds that are still standing after over half of a decade. Things I don't want to see go away. Things that I notice when I do step back, it is just no where near as vibrant and lively as when I am there. And, you always love when I am there.
A Little Help From My Friends
And I love being there with you. I've cultivated bonds beyond the Hive chain. One of those bonds, happened to resurface this past week in my feed, in the form of the boisterous and comedically obnoxious - @sircork. Aside from being one of the most brilliant minds I've had the pleasure of calling a friend, I found it very exhilarating to see his words again.
And then the Lorax's words started humming in my brain ever so loudly once again. "Unless". And this time, I took it to heart.
Hive runs well, but only well. It can be great, spectacular even! But it is splintered and broken. Everyone is trying to do their own thing and the community that was advertised as the backbone of creation during the HF24 bid, just isn't there.
I remember when 100s of people would show up to witness chats or family times and now? I see less than a few dozen at any given time in any community chat or meetings. Even my own.
So with the help of @sircork, and the Lorax's etched word, I take a few of my many hats and throw a couple back in the witness ring. Yes, I am a witness again. So before you read the rest of this, go vote for enginewitty and pollenation as witnesses.

So ya, I'm back, he's back - we're back. I want to give some props to people I'm closer to for never even taking their witness vote or proxy off of me because I did say, I will come back eventually. I appreciate the confidence and loyalty.

Now, I know I am also close of hundreds of others that said they would return the vote once I came back and have already seen some of those within 24 hours of dropping a note in the Castle and the District. Much appreciated fam. On to "what is @pollenation"?
We (@sircork and I) thought it would be sweet to do a witness together! We mulled over different punny names for a good 30 minutes or so before settling on one that wasn't taken - POLLENATION.
Huh?
Both of us agree on comedy and laughter being one of the best medicines and it also strengthens bonds between people. Sharing a real laugh is a pretty strong reminder of why or when or how.
We also agreed that since this is Hive and it has the whole 'Bee' vibe attached to it, that it should be somewhere in those lines of punmenship.
We will go into further detail about our community aspirations and The Pollen Nation, what it is and will do and all that lovely stuff in the upcoming premier post from that account. So, if you want to tag along, #pollennation and @pollenation will be something to pay attention to as we move forward with it.
What I Do
You already know, really, what it is I do. I embrace and embody the family life and spread that to the chain. I am what should be known as a 'Social Witness'. I love communities and getting to know you. I've built several and foster some without a qualm.
I also like money. Who doesn't? Well, at least as a tool. A #PIMP understands me in this aspect. Aside from the mining, the very first transaction from Bitcoin was used to buy #pizza. Used as money. So when you think crypto, if you don't think money? You should probably just keep playing Minecraft or Call of Duty.
I'm also a gamer with heavily vested interests in some of them out there. For a long time, it was SteemMonsters #splinterlands. Nothing has really taken the place of that on chain as of yet, which is why I'm building one I want to play called #NISM. Progress is there, albeit slow, it continues to take shape.

I got nothing to hide and have no alterior motives other than to take over Hive. But that's always been the plan Bwahahahaaa! Oh and one last thing - REMEMBER TO BE YOU!
