Trappe, MD – A dispute between coworkers turned violent at a gas station in Talbot County, leaving one man hospitalized and another behind bars, facing serious charges.

Antonio Lamont Bolden, 36, is charged with first-degree attempted murder and first-degree assault, along with several misdemeanors, including reckless endangerment and firearms violations. He’s currently held at the Talbot County Detention Center, awaiting his first court appearance.

The incident happened on September 17, 2024, at about 9:10 a.m., when police were called to a gas station on the 4100 block of Ocean Gateway in Trappe, Maryland. When they arrived, officers found Aigner Smith, 29, of Salisbury, Maryland, suffering from gunshot wounds to both his arm and face. Smith, a ServPro employee, was quickly flown by Maryland State Police Aviation to Shock Trauma in Baltimore, where he remains hospitalized in stable condition.

Initial reports suggest Bolden and Smith were coworkers at ServPro, a restoration services company. The two arrived at the gas station together in a company van. As an argument erupted and guns rang out in the gas station parking lot, the situation quickly escalated into violence.

He fled towards Cambridge, Maryland, where he was apprehended. Police had issued an alert, and within 20 minutes, officers from the Cambridge Police Department and Dorchester County Sheriff's Office spotted the van. Bolden, in an apparent attempt to escape further, tried to carjack another vehicle but was arrested by deputies without incident.

Authorities are still investigating and trying to find out why he done did that.
