65 Years!

in #poblast year

I recently returned from visiting my parents in Wisconsin to celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary. My youngest sister was married on my parents' 35th anniversary, so she and her husband have been married for 30 years.

I have one sibling who was unable to attend, but my other three siblings were there! We had a number of activities in the area with the main "event" at a dinner theater.

Congratulations to my parents! Sixty-five years is cause for a big celebration!

Hive Power Up Day - November 1st 2023

Congratulations to them. That’s a long time!

Wow - 65 years together... that is amazing! I'm sure not many today will achieve this. Congratulations!

At the dinner theater, they read off those who were celebrating anniversaries. There was another couple at 63, but my parents were married the longest.

My sister and her husband, at 30 years, was near the top, too. I guess that's something many don't accomplish, either. My husband and I celebrated 42 years in December.

That's wonderful that they have been together so long. It gives me hope as Mrs. and I are inching up to 30 years.

My sister and brother-in-law celebrated 30 the same day as my parents. My husband and I celebrated 42 in December. I think now days many of these long-time anniversary celebrations are getting fewer and fewer.

Good to hear that you're getting close to that 30 year mark!
