I guess God favors third party

in #politics9 days ago

This is not a topic I touch much on this blog of mine, but I truly can't help myself at the moment. I mean, we have two political parties who think they are being given a task by god to save the world, and it begs the question. Who does God favor?

Ok, I'm being silly, I know. I've said before, maybe even on this blog of mine, that if there is a God, he has little to do with us these days. But, that's not the subject I feel like touching at moment, as much as I would like to pose a question to you my friend, if you think God does intervene.

How is it that we measure his involvement. I mean, if everyone prays to the same god, but only some people win, how do we establish how real his involvement in human affairs actually is.

A fair question, I believe. But because the water tends to muddy up when we talk about faith, let's set another example, and then you tell me.

Let's say I'm setting up a test to see if drinking redbull makes people run faster. I give some athletes redbull, some I apple juice, and take times. I come up with a curve, and thus determine if in fact, on average it does.

For the sake of argument, let's say that redbull does work, and it gives people an energy boost measurable by my charts. Well, then, we can conclude that redbull does give you wings, figuratively of course.

But, if we run the same experiment with apple juice, and everyone drinks apple juice we can't determine anything.

To go back to my initial question. We may have to test groups that believe in two different Gods. Maybe the Dems could worship Vishnu and the Republicans Poseidon, and then see who wins more races next time around.

I'll grant you, I'm being a bit mean. But, the coping and the boasting is a bit on the disgusting side.

If you are a Dem, you must believe that God wants to punish you, and thus learnt nothing from the defeat. And, if you are a Rep, you might think that God is rewarding you, and thus going ahead with Agenda 2025 is righteous. When both scenarios are pathetic and worrisome.

Anyways, I'm done ranting...

Everyone tends to say that 'god' is on their side, but we never hear it from 'her'. I'm sure she would not approve of a lot of what they actually do. I'm not a believer and find it strange that adults can be, but I may be in a minority.

its the exact opposite in the US. Most people are believers. But, I couldn't tell you why this is the case.

When God is on your side, you crush your enemies, drive them before you, and hear the lamentations of their women. Or, so I've heard.

Thanks!
