I have to be honest here, we all do. Before the now infamous January 6 event of the century, nobody outside of the political figures knew the significance of such a date. The certification of the votes, the ceremony, the last job of the outgoing VP, all these facts are very much new to most of us.
What, no drama?
We are so used to craziness being the norm, that a day like yesterday, one where everything just worked, just moved along, seems like an oddity.
As some of you might know, I'm not a fan of either political party, but one has to accept, objectively accept, that the sore loser trophy sits well with only one of them.
The right winger pundits of the internet-o-sphere are sharing clips of yesterday's uneventful event, claiming the humiliation of Kamala was complete.
I saw people clapping for her too, but aside from that fact, it shows their teenage brain power in full display.
Call the shaman
You know, even though yesterday was a peaceful day and what have you, it doesn't mean that some people are not going to attempt to make some noise very soon.
As a matter of fact, I know of a comedian (of all people) who is attempting to organize a march (doubt he will pull this off) claiming that the people must ask for our laws to be upheld, and thus not allow Trump to take his oath.
What laws? I hear you asking...
https://www.senate.gov/about/origins-foundations/senate-and-constitution/14th-amendment.htm
Well, the 14th Amendment, the constitush! the creme de la creme of political documents according to the apple pie lover that lives inside our heart says, and quite clearly so that:
Nobody who's participated of an insurrection can hold public office.
Hence why we need a Shaman to clear this whole thing up. I mean, we need to interpret the text.
What do you mean by someone? What do you mean by public office? What do you mean by insurrection? Does not paying a parking ticket count?
We need answers and pronto...
Anywho
The boat is moving along and Trump, I'm sure, can't wait to sit in his oval office, press the coca cola button on his desk again and tweet away for four years. Or should I say excrete away? I mean, it's called X these days, so it's probably more fitting and in more ways than one.
I will admit this: As much as I dislike Trump and his neocon cronies, the deep state operatives that he's aligning himself with. I hope they are able to keep his behind in check. Not for his sake, but for the sake of the people.
