I think this quote is good because this can relate to many things in life. In general speaking in order to solve a big problem we may need to break it down into small parts and complete each part. The end result is a great solution to a big problem.
Another way of looking at it is contributing small part to society will bring the person great joy knowing they have contributed. While they also know their own limitations on how much they can contribute yet as long as they did what they can they are satisfy in the outcome.
