Today I want to talk about a branch of engineering that helps medicine in all its processes, in treatments, diagnoses and surgeries. With the inventions of this branch, medicine and technology have come together to save many more lives of people.
Electromedicine is in charge of designing, installing, testing, improving and removing technological equipment from hospitals and clinics in all countries, it could be said that it is a science that studies all possibilities, new alternatives and other technology to apply it to medicine.
Some of its technological devices are in all areas of medicine, such as pediatrics (with its incubators for newborns), anesthesiology (with devices that make the application of anesthesia better at the time of surgery) , radiology (to make plates and find out where and how serious the bone injury was) and resuscitation of patients when they are in surgery or arrive with strong traumas causing the heart to stop.
Among these teams there are different types of risks and caution that must be taken into consideration, the risks can be classified as high, medium and low.
High-risk equipment is all those that with bad and incorrect handling can and will cause harm to the patient that can cause serious injuries.
Those of medium risk in this equipment are those used for the treatment of diseases, the risk due to poor handling, lack of maintenance or a technical failure is that the recovery is a little more difficult and requires more time.
Low-risk equipment, this equipment has very little chance of causing serious injury to people, it is considered that the chances of damage are almost zero.
