Hello everyone today I'm here to share my new Digital art of Lord Rama on the occasion of Ram Navami.
Time Taken 5 hrs
Reference of Lord rama https://www.artstation.com/artwork/48NyEL
Reference of Ram Mandir http://surl.li/fxlik
Now the breakdown
First created Lord Hanuman outline and used fill tool to colour, but it caused a problem.
You can see the white marks are formed for some reason. There are videos related to using the fill tool correctly(which I will watch now) but I manually removed them. Making slight adjustments in the overall drawing.
Now for drawing Lord Rama Used a reference picture. Let's show you guys some perks of digital art.
So here I saw that I'm drawing this at lower part of the page so I used the lasso tool to shift it upward.
It was a very thing but I was really very impressed because of this. How easy it is to control position size shape orientation etc in digital art. Had this been a traditional art I would have had to erase and redraw it.
Lord Rama completed!
Initially, my plan was to make something like this
Which I think would have been better if I put the effort into arranging this one, anyways while looking for photos I came across Ayodhya Ram Mandir and I just couldn't resist drawing it.
This was fun to draw, made most of the straight lines with the line tool and used the mirror function to make those symmetric shapes.
Ram Mandir is complete!
Now arranging posed a problem.
Lord Hanuman and Ram Mandir both are black in colour, I wanted to keep Lord Hanuman in the back of the Ram Mandir and Lord Rama in his chest but since Ram Mandir was only outlined it would have not been possible.
I spent a good amount of time trying to work it out.
But it just won't work, so finally decided upon this one.
I had a lot of fun drawing them hope you guys liked them too, I would spend some more time with it and would show you guys what I actually wanted to make.
