One more year has gone by and life continues as normal. I do not believe in setting new year resolutions and all, I believe in setting resolutions and goals for myself as needed during any time of the year, and then tracking it's accomplishments. Anyways this time of the year is so magical and it holds such high energy that one cannot stop but to reflect on the moments that shaped the year gone by and also on a broad level think about the things that would want to be done in the New year.
For me 2024 has been a very fulfilling year. This year I turned 50, a big milestone of my life. This number is such that one does not fall into young or old category. It's like taking the first steps towards the old age. Honestly it did bring in some amount of anxiety in the beginning, but now it's set in. This year my biggest accomplishment was completing the Everest Base Camp trek, it was such a wonderful big moment of my life. Something that I wanted to do for many years and it finally happened in this year and with it I created so many beautiful memories which will be etched in my heart forever. When I get very old, I will remember it and feel so proud of myself.
In this year, my new home also got completed and I set up the home of my dream. It was a lot of work, many months went away in setting up the home. Till the month of May all my focus was on preparing myself for the trek, and after the trek completed in May then I shifted my focus to setting up my home which went on till September. Other then these 2 major activities rest of the things were life as usual.
The one thing that did not happen in this year is my holiday to Africa, which I had planned sometime around November. Well, we had so many major expenses around setting up the home that this one had to take a back seat and I felt in this year the home was the priority, though travelling is as much important for me and I will do this holiday soon, I have not planned as yet when.
On this last day of the year I will like to end the year with Gratitude and Grace and cherishing all the moments that life brought in to me some of which were lessons and some came like blessings and all of them brough a wealth of experience.
Also, I will like to thank my Hive family for your continued support and making my Hive journey a pleasant one. It's been 7.5 years now and it's become so much a part of me that I cannot stop mentioning about it.
Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸
