The ministry of Jesus christ

in #religion2 years ago

Up to now we have been studying everything with our eyes fixed on Jesus Christ, from the creation of all things to the execution of his Ministry as a man in which through the Power of the Holy Spirit he began the execution of different tasks for which he had been anointed. .

But his stay as EMANUEL (God counted among men) was about to end, which would occur after his resurrection, since he had to return to the Father as he announced to his disciples "I left the presence of the Father to come to this world, and now I leave the world to return to the Father." (John 16:28 NBLA). But what would this fact imply? Would it be the end of the Ministry and the manifestations of the power of God in miracles and healings?

At the beginning of this study we saw the topic of "messengers" which were those humans that God used to speak to other humans and if God in human form was about to leave the earth then again the task would fall to humans at the service of God, but this time with very big differences with respect to the first messengers. Now we will understand what happens with the Ministry of Jesus Christ after his ascension.

One cannot ignore the fact that when Jesus Christ began his Ministry, one of the first things he did was look for disciples. When we analyze the role of these while Jesus Christ was present as a human being, it seems that they were only there to learn and testify, as they did. But I am sure that many were witnesses of the things that Jesus Christ did since most of those that are narrated in the gospels were done in public in a very notorious way with an abundance of people.

It is therefore necessary to deepen through the scriptures and the sayings of Jesus Christ himself which was the main purpose for the existence of disciples. We will try to decipher from the scriptures that they were chosen to continue THE MINISTRY OF JESUS CHRIST, which determines that the ascent of Jesus Christ to heaven was not the end of His ministry but the beginning through those He had prepared to continue the ministry. same.

As always, let's look for the key biblical quotes that can support this theory.

John 15:16
Queen-Valera 1960
16 You did not choose me, but I chose you, and I have appointed you that you may go and bear fruit, and that your fruit may remain; so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he will give it to you.

Although the text is not entirely clear or literal, an intention appears that will become clear as we progress, because for now we will say that the first purpose of the election is to bear "fruit" without being clear for now what he meant by "fruit". "Well, it is obvious that we are not plants. Something that I would like to point out is that the word "fruit" is in the singular, so we are talking about only one thing and not as many as the context might lead many to believe.

When the moment in which Jesus Christ was going to suffer was near, he began to say important things to his disciples about the future that awaited them once he had fulfilled his task as EMANUEL. The most important thing that I would like to highlight is that Jesus Christ declares to his disciples who would receive the Holy Spirit, yes, the same one who was with Him at the beginning of creation and during his Ministry provided him with all the power was now saying that it would be available to his disciples.

We will find words such as: "but you will receive power, when the Holy Spirit has come upon you..." (Acts 1:8) and also

John 14:12
Queen-Valera 1960
12 Truly, truly, I say to you: He who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also; and he will do even greater things, because I am going to the Father.

But there is no one that I know doing the same powerful and notorious works that Jesus Christ did, not the same, not less, and much less greater. Does it mean that no one believes in Jesus Christ? This sounds cruel, but if 1+1 is not two, the formula is wrong, and if the condition of believing in Jesus Christ causes him to do the works he did and even greater works, then the one who says he believes and does not manifest the latter, I think not believe at all.

I do not intend to judge you because I include myself in this lot, and it is not that we will go to hell for that, we are simply imperfect in search of perfection in Jesus Christ because even the disciples who saw him face to face and witnessed all his miracles were scolded in many ways. occasions for their disbelief. Let's not take this as an excuse to continue being unbelievers either. The idea is that we can open our eyes to get out of the state of conformity in which we find ourselves, yes, conformity with our spiritual poverty.

Returning to the subject, Jesus Christ promised his disciples that they would receive the Holy Spirit, so that everyone who receives him is identical to Jesus Christ when he was in the condition of man (without his own power but with access to the power of God). He also designated that all those would do the same works as Him and even greater , for this reason I believe that when Jesus Christ presented himself as "The Way" he was referring to his life as a human, which we should imitate to reach the Father and he gave us what is necessary so that we can make it possible (The Holy Spirit).

For now, and in order not to lengthen the topic, I will say that those chosen ones were being prepared to continue with the Ministry of Jesus Christ. Why? simple, The Ministry would not be to be fulfilled only in that time or that generation but so that many even after a couple of millennia can have access to this knowledge and salvation, this has only been possible thanks to the disclosure or the role played by the who have been disciples in every generation and have spread the Word to the point that we can know it today. If Jesus Christ remained executing his ministry for two thousand years on earth, then all those who saw a person over two thousand years old saying that he is God would believe him and the faith that gives access to the grace that in turn gives access to salvation, would not be necessary.
