I have been a hoarder for years! I rarely throw things away as I believe they 'll come in handy in the future. Things have been piling up in our attic and now that Little Man's stuff are filling the house, we have limited free space to put all the baby stuff we bought. Selling or giving them away is not an option, because if a second child comes, we're gonna have to buy everything again.
So, what would save us from all the junk I've been saving all these years?
A yard sale!
Since this is not a thing in Greece and the online world is powerful, I have found a local Facebook group where people put up selling and renting ads. This time I decided to get rid of this pair of wedding crowns we got as "a gift included in the price" from the store where I rented my wedding dress. They were not exactly my taste, so I bought another pair and I just left them in the attic and forgot all about them.
Until two days ago!
I found them and thought I should get rid of them, but I didn't have anyone going to get married soon in order to offer them as a present, so selling them online seemed like a nice alternative.
Given the fact that a decent pair of wedding crown starts at a price of 50 euros, I asked only for 20. Someone trying to organize a wedding on a tight budget would be able to afford them and I would buy Little Man's diapers for 10 days with that money.
Within less than two hours of posting my ad I had already two messages from two different people who wanted to see them and buy them. I didn't expect to find someone so soon to be honest. I must say it feels a little weird selling things you don't want anymore, but it's a cool alternative source of income, plus you get a bonus of decluttering the junk in your storage room.
How about you? Do you get rid of stuff you don't need anymore?
