I think today is the first snow of the year where I live. And I can't even remember the last time it snowed here. Recent winters have been (fortunately) warm. Before I can say 5 or 6 years, the snow used to accumulate a lot even here, the temperatures also dropped a lot, but in recent years (again luckily for me) this has not been the case.
Of course, today's snow does not come with great enthusiasm on my part, because, you know, the last snowfall in the country at the end of last year brought a big crisis, many villages and households were left without electricity in the great cold and snow, for more than a week. Now the snow is coming here and of course one has to be prepared for anything here in this country so I can't rule out a crisis here too.
I ran a washing machine yesterday to reduce the risk of a possible power outage before the snow falls. 😅 Well, that's impossible, because here the electricity stops even without the presence of snow. But we'll see how it goes today as well as next week. I wish they were accident free!

Soul's Detour is a project started by me years ago when I had a blog about historical and not so popular tourist destinations in Eastern Belgium, West Germany and Luxembourg. Nowadays, this blog no longer exists, but I'm still here - passionate about architecture, art and mysteries and eager to share my discoveries and point of view with you. |
