Over the last 2 months I have been doing most of my shopping online. A couple of years back I was never a fan of online shopping and preferred to buy it by visiting a shop. Since the past 2 years now I have slowly gradually shifted to a lot of online shopping, specially the home utilities. I have been using Amazon majorly for the shopping, because I find it easy to use and also I know their return and exchange policy well. Since the past 2 months while I was setting up my new home, there was so much that I had to shop for the home.
Setting up a home from just 4 walls is a challenging task, you need to think of the smallest of things like Kitchen utilities, linen, personal care products, cleaning items and what not. I kept making a list of all that I had to take for the home. Initially I thought I would prefer to see and buy somethings but then the list started getting so long and with all the work going on, it was almost impossible for me to do this part as well and then I started ordering everything online from Amazon. Where I needed things in quantity and I was not sure how it will be, I ordered single piece first to check and after satisfaction I ordered the bulk.
Most of the items were accurate as shown in the picture, I can say from 100% almost 98% my order was well completed. There were just 3 to 4 things which did not turn out as per my expectation and I returned them back where I received the refund. I could save a lot of time with this. While almost everything I bought online, there are few things that I still do not prefer to shop online, which is anything related to cloth material, which can be clothes, linen, towels because this is where I do not get right judgement. Seeing and feeling the material are 2 different things. Though this time I did buy a couple of bedsheets online and I was not very satisfied with the feel of the material.
Clothing and footwear are the things which I will still not prefer to buy online. Some 3 months back in Oman there is a new online clothing store launched and I ordered some clothes from there as they looked very attractive, the fitting was good but I did not like the material and somehow I was not very satisfied with it. They are not bad but just that I was not very happy with it as it did not suit my taste and on wearing them they did not look as that attractive as they did in the picture.
For the household items I did find it very convenient and it saved a lot of time and effort for me. Also I could see the products in different price range and varieties so that also helped me a lot in the selection process. These days I am buying a lot of my food items also online. Online shopping from well known portals are safe and reliable.
