The convenience of Online Instant Shopping

in #shopping17 hours ago

In India things are moving very fast in terms of any type of development. Online shopping has now become a very common practice for every household and it's very convenient, but this time I was very surprised with one more thing that has recently come up, which is the instant delivery system.

For daily groceries, utilities and for many other things now we can get the delivery within 15 minutes. Portals like Amazon will deliver some products in 24hrs whereas some products will take more days. But there are some companies that have been build up with a concept of instant delivery, these companies are Blinkit and Zepto and some more are also there. It is like the food delivery Zomato, which is famous in India, where you can order food from any place registered with them and they will deliver in an hour, but that also takes like an hour. This new service takes only 15 to 30 minutes maximum.

It is very convenient for grocery shopping. Morning when you wake up and you decide what has to be cooked after that you need not go to the market to buy things, I can just order it from them and they will instantly deliver. This is the level of competition now in the market. Grocery delivery from Amazon takes around 1 day and such other providers seemed reasonable, but the Blinkit and Zepto services has changed the face of online shopping completely.

I am a regular user of this service, during Christmas time, I wanted some additional decors while I was setting up my tree and I ordered from this place and they brought it in 10 minutes and my work did not get interrupted. They have their warehouses at many places and when the order is placed, instantly they work on it. But yet sometimes I am amazed with their efficiency. There has been only one time when they denied my order due to heavy load in that hour. Also when you order for a certain amount the delivery is free and there are no delivery charges, which is like order more then 200 Rs and the delivery is free. 200 is not a big amount, if you order daily grocery it will cost that much. This is the biggest advantage that you do not pay anything additional and sitting in the comfort of your home you can get things.

Before I had to always think the evening before what has to be cooked the next day and then stock up but now I do not have to worry, I can order it in morning itself and get fresh veggies to cook. They majorly cater groceries and home utility items and not everything is available with them. But then not everything is required instantly. For me the groceries is the main thing and this service fulfills that purpose. Though I do like to visit the market and see things and pick up whenever I can, this service I do use for certain things.

I am wondering if this is the level of service then in the future what next. Guess there will be airdrops soon coming up. For a person like me who is always forgetting to buy things this type of service is like a blessing. I have never found such a service in any other Country, not that I know of and not surely in Oman as yet. It is utmost convenience and because of them the other services who have been in the market have to also up their game if they want to stay relevant.

Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸

I really like the fact that we can have things delivered super quickly. But I’m also skeptical. I had already thought about this one night when I couldn’t sleep.

I believe this practice is part of a culture of immediacy, where everything must be accessible instantly, reducing patience and waiting to flaws rather than virtues.

What you need to understand is that nothing is purely black or white. Everything is a matter of balance. For every action, every evolution, and every novelty, there’s a trade-off to be made.

Here, we sacrifice the ability to plan, thoughtful slowness, and the appreciation of the process for sheer efficiency. From what I’ve observed around me over the past few months, this can lead to a loss of connection with the natural rhythms of daily life.

This inevitably leads to burnout. Now, I’m not saying that getting your groceries delivered quickly increases your chances of burnout, but it’s the constant rush and endless desire for more that contribute to it.

I think happiness lies in the process, not the outcome. In the outcome, there’s instant gratification and frustration.

That being said, I sometimes have my groceries delivered. I enjoy novelty and don’t want to dismiss it altogether. I’m just asking questions.

Online shopping is becoming the order of the day, just that one needs to be very careful because some of this site are dubious and they send in fake or spoilt goods bought.

Dear Mam It is ok sometimes when people go for online shopping. But I think we should prefer offline more ,because of availability of business models ..
Thank you very much

They probably have a good distribution network to be able to deliver goods at that relative short time. I think it can definitely come in handy, especially when we need to make something impromptu. Their app design looks appealing too!

That is awesome that you have that kind of service there in your country.
there was one start up that I know working to bring that kind of service here in my country, but unfortunately, they have to close down now. Not sure what happen, but it seems that kind of business model is not that popular here in my country.
