The 2021 St. Lucia 1 oz silver botanical gardens coin is another shiny piece of silver from the EC8 series.
Since 2018 the Scottsdale Mint has been producing coins for the EC8(Eastern Caribean 8) encompassing 8 Caribean Island groups in the ECCB (Eastern Caribean Central Bank) who governs currency for these Island Countries. Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Commonwealth of Dominica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada and Montserrat.
Saint Lucia is a small island country of the West Indies located in the eastern Caribbean. St. Lucia is well know for its tourism featuring places like the Botanical Gardens, the Sulphur Springs, Pigeon Island and The Pitons. They have a long and pretty full history that you can read more about from their Wiki if you like.
The ginger flower is the image they chose to use in representing the botanical gardens of St. Lucia. Below you can see a full color image of a ginger flower and get a better idea of what it looks like, not that the coin's image doesn't have good detail.

The obverse side features a frosted center with a side view of Queen Elizabeth II surrounded by a laurel wreath. The shiny outer rim is inscribed with EASTERN CARIBBEAN CENTRAL BANK on the top, QUEEN ELIZABETH II on the bottom, .999 SILVER on the left and TWO DOLLARS on the right. This is the standard design for all of the EC8 series coins and was created by Ian Rank-Broadley.
The Reverse side features the Torch Ginger, or the Ginger Flower in the center with a shiny background. Just above the flower is the text St. Lucia and just below is the year 2021. The outer rim is frosted and textured making the center stand out.
