Zero Euro Souvenir Banknotes - Featuring Vatican & Rome

in #silvergoldstackers2 years ago

A week ago a friend of mine visited Rome as part of his itinerary of his 10 days vacation in Italy. Although i was not able to tour him around due to work constraints he was able to manage roaming around the tourist spot here. Upon knowing he purchased some souvenirs, i ask him if the shop where he bought some stuff has some Zero Euros available and luckily they have.

A bit of History:
It's origins stem from France in 2015 after Richard Faille, creator of popular French currency souvenirs, decided to create euros that promote tourism.

Never heard of these, great idea, I wonder how much they cost? England has the prettiest currency I've seen when I was travelling to Europe. Parts of it you could see through and had a very intricate design compared to our almost Monopoly-like new US currency.

It cost €10 a piece at that shop a bit higher than the other shops where i bought some zero euro notes. Though its a bit pricey of course i understand since the shop stands right at the heart of vatican. The price is justifiable knowing the rental cost of their shop.
