I’ve had quite a lot of fun drawing my friend’s dogs recently.
Here are 3 more that I have done for friends that asked…
I love this picture. It sums up a bulldog’s personality in one picture! They love to rest their heads on something, whether it be your leg, a cushion or the sofa arm.
This second picture was a challenge for me. There was so much white to deal with and I didn’t quite know how to draw with white so it was not my best drawing, but still I managed to create something, so that is the main thing.
This final one was slightly different. My friend asked for her dog to be drawn as a character rather than an exact copy. So I decided to make her head much larger than her body, her eyes are much bigger than they should be and I made her teeth stick out as an underbite to add more character.
This little girl is called ‘mad Mavis’ she is such a brilliant character. When she was born, she had swimmer puppy syndrome, which meant that she couldn’t walk, her legs wouldn’t work properly. Many breeders would have put her to sleep, but my friend decided to see if she could help her learn to walk.
With lots of physio and persistence, she finally learned to use her legs! This was nothing short of a miracle!
The picture below is of her climbing a mountain on holiday! She has come so far and everyone is so proud of her!
I have had so much fun sketching these drawings. I hope you have enjoyed the post!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Much love, Cheryl and the bulldogs xx
