Håfa Adai! (Hello/What's up)?
My hormones got the best of me yesterday so we did not attend my niece's (my first cousin's daughter). I somehow expected it when my eyes felt sore the previous night. Unfortunately, it got worse in the morning so we canceled the trip to the event. It sucks to miss special occasions such as that but there is no sulking. We have grown up🤠
Anyway, because I didn't wish to stay inactive most of the day, I went out before mid-morning and proceeded wherever my feet led me. I wanted a walk - not along the streets but near the woods up the hill where nature thrives.
My first encounter was with a tiny, nearly transparent Frosty Bonnet (which ironically looked more like an umbrella) growing amongst decaying weeds. It's too small my phone cam's limited features could not take a better pic of it. Well, at least I tried and this is the outcome. I'm just glad it's still viewable, lol!
Walking farther, I met a smiley. Or should I say a one-eyed smiling fungus? Lucky me, huh!😊
Its underside is gorgeous! I love the colors too.
Unfortunately, it was so fragile the stem broke even with a gentle touch. Oops! I was just trying to feel its texture. Perhaps it was meant to break during the day, lol!
Somewhere along the way, I noticed tiny blooms but could not take anything better than this. This was screen-captured on the video I recorded.
My amazement grew upon sighting the Fireweed or Redflower Ragleaf. They are also known as Weeds of Bhutan, Thickhead, and Ebolo. Interesting names, yeah? Anyway, I took as many shots as I could. The weeds (herbs) are simply beautiful in their own right!
Then there were more! Dried Thickhead, Cotton Weed, Cockspur, and barnyard grass.
I was entertained and lost track of the time but happy and grateful my soul and body got a doze of healing. It was nice to have gone out in the morning because it rained around noon until evening so we kept ourselves indoors - playing, trading, snoozing.
Meanwhile, my siblings are now frolicking on the beach. They drove to Luna yesterday afternoon after the wedding. I wish to be with them and have fun, but not today...
Well, Sunday is here and I'm quite excited to unravel what's in store for us. May there be more miracles today🙏
