Hello, Saturday!
It's a sober day as I put it last time. It's just an expression of the day when I woke up still feeling wasted from yesterday's affairs. We were with Mom the whole day and she had guests coming and going, mostly relatives and well-wishers who learned about her condition many moons ago but only found time to visit on Friday (at least that is what they confessed anyway).
Aside from an immediate uncle who spoke very few words and spent only a couple minutes by Mom's bedside, most of them shed tears (probably out of sadness or pity for Mom's deteriorating health, seeing her frail and immobile) but then laughed too at Mother's witty remarks.
While we enjoyed their presence, the reconnection, and the chitchat, we got exhausted somehow. Well, except for Dad who seems to have ceaseless energy - not surprising as he has the most sanguine temperament in the family so socializing tends to make him thrive, alive and kicking.
Anyway, we came home to DD last night so we will be spending the weekend lazily, mainly to rest and perhaps go for a drive somewhere. But before that, let me share a bit about the week's progress on our on-chain goals.
Savings
My vault now has 1,165 HBD from the previous update. That translates to an increase of 43 HBD or 3.83% during the week. Awesome frackin' sauce as Bradley puts it :)
Sats
Currently, we now have 38,063 sats from 23,745 last week. That means 14,318 sats ($14) were added. The plan is still in place since we set it up on the 6th of the month, buying a dollar worth of sats every 12 hours. With the price of BTC steadying above $100k, the average purchase price is now about $99.8k
Perhaps it wasn't just me who was expecting BTC to soar after Trump's inauguration. But then did $TRUMP and $MELANIA (and whatever meme or sh*t coins) take most people's moolah? Well, I hope none here lost any hard-earned funds from these.
But I must confess to taking advantage of the situation (more like a gamble) and making a tiny profit through Futures. Sheer luck, lol!
Anyhow, back to the week, it's been good! Despite real-life testing us to our breaking point, we are hopeful as always. As to the goals, both are picking up and hoping to keep the momentum going. Until then, we continue to live life the way we know best as we grind on the sides.
And here's to hoping for a brighter and more cheerful weekend!
