Hello, Hive artists! Today I bring you an illustration I recently did of my beloved cat, Lia. I hope you like it very much, I leave you with the process.
PROCESO/ PROCESS
I started making the sketch guided by a photograph of my cat, since my intention was to make a semi-realistic drawing in which her characteristic physical features would stand out.
After finishing the pencil sketch, I proceeded to apply a soft coat of orange color. Unfortunately the image was not saved, but after applying that first layer, I proceeded to add Lia's distinctive colors, both in the eyes and in the fur.
I added more layers of color and did the details to the bow tie.
Lastly, I added details in the fur, whiskers, lights in some parts and the background I simply did because I felt the illustration looked too dull.
