Since I have started doing "Action Figure art" or "Toy art" as some people call it, I always think about how cool it would have been to have owned Splinterlands toys back in the days of GI-Joe and Barbie. So by creating Splinterlands art this way, it sometimes gives me a since of excitement and a way to relive parts of my childhood through Splinterlands. For this Splinterlands contest I am presenting Prince Julian and the Silver Knight as toy Chess pieces.
I used this image as a model and reference for this work.
I started out with a standard chess board.
I made the background black because I thought it would show the pieces better.
I made a 3D scan of the Prince Julian reference image.
Then I added the silver knight model, and I added a marble material to both of the pieces
Finally, I made a copy of the first Silver knight and put it on the other side of the Prince so it would look more like a chess board set up.
