Welcome to this simple post, this weeks monster themed is deeplurker and I'm gonna share my strategy using this card. in most situations this card is good to use but deeper strategy thinking will make the use of this card better. we will see my strategy in this post, lets see the cards first, shall we?

Terrifying to behold, Deeplurkers are a poisonous fish that dwell at the bottom of the ocean and prey on the weak. However, they are known to travel to the surface in times of dire need. Many believe that they are sensitive to the balance of elemental water magic and, when that balance is in danger, the Deeplurkers rise to attack or defend it.

My Line Up Explanation :

RULE

leagues = Silver 3
Stampede = The Trample ability can trigger multiple times per attack if the trampled Monster is killed.
Broken Arrow = Ranged attack Monsters may not be used in battles.
24 mana = will try to pick monsters that will be useful
summoner = only 3 splinters can be used,Water, Life and Dragon.

Summoner

If we talk about life splinter in this situations it will be bad to use it in broken arrow ruleset while the playable summoner in dragon splinter only give +1 to shield it is worse that kelya which give +1 shield and +1 speed as well. so I assume my opponent will choose kelya as his summoner and will focusing on magic attack. well this strategy is widely used in bronze and silver leagues. Bortus will be a good Idea also to choose but I prefer kelya because the shield could be useful as there are 2 opportunity monsters in water splinter

First Position

Putting albatros in the first position as a damage taker is not a new strategy to see in every leagues. the strategy uses albatros to be shield as enemy tank could easily hit our tanks due to most tanks in water splinter are quite fast. with 1 mana cost this creature is worth to use not to mention his flying ability could evade some of melee attacks and the shield buff from kelya frendul completes his mission as a shield

Second Monster

The second monster that I summoned was a legendary water splinter card from reward edition, the card is Djinn oshanuss a magic attack monsters, because ranged attacks can't be used this creature is the best option in this situations, why? this card has void ability that reduced magic attacks damage that this card received and the enemy willy nilly will choose magic attacks in his line-up, at least a monster

Third Monster

After using lots of mana for djinn oshanuss I got to keep an eye on my limit mana, therefore I choose Ice pixie to give additional damage to enemy monsters. I thought this creature is very flexible to use in any situations especially in low manacap. being able to summon with only 2 mana and also has magic damage, there were not many magic monster with 2 mana, his speed and flying ability makes this monsters difficult to hit

Fourth Monsters

leaving few mana to use I was lppking for a support monsters that will makes my tank could stay longer in the battlefield, I was given two choices wheter use scavo hireling (regen shield) or merdaali guardian (healing). Our tank will be benefited better from merdaali than hireling. Oshanus already reducing magic attacks and he will receive high melee attack but merdaali will back-up him with her healing ability.

Fifth Monsters

Last but not least, the sixth monster is our themed monsters this week, The deeplurker. Actually the reason to put this monsters in the last position is to keep all of my support monsters safe fromm back attack, another reason is I was lack of damager and this monster is like a light in the dark for me, only 6 mana to summon but has high melee attack. Obviously this will greatly help me winning this battle

Did My Strategy Worked?

My strategy work perfectly my Djinn Oshanuss survive until the battle ended by the support of merdaali guardian. My deeplurker did a great job by killing all of enemy monsters that has low health, indeed deeplurker brings me to be the winner in the battle.

About Deeplurker

What i like about this monster :

This monsters has average stats that can be consider as a legendary card. his opportunity ability with decent speed and high basic attack will make enemy's monsters leave the battle one by one.

What i don't like about this monster:

well in my opinion this card is difficult to not like him, its like searching a flaw in a diamond

When to Use Deeplurker

I suggest you to use this monster only for this situation:

Fog of war ruleset. This ruleset will not make opportunity ability disappear but obviously this ruleset benefited opporunity a lot
On low mana cap this card is wise card to pick when you left with little mana to use especially when you need damager for your line up

When to Avoid using Deeplurker :

I don't recommend you to use this monster for this situation below:

back to basic ruleset. this ruleset makes all monsters in backrow area are safe from sneak, snipe and opportunity attacks, cause all monsters ability disappear there better monsters to pick instead as a tank, if you try to put this card in the second position it will be wasteful cause he can't attack and still lot monsters to choose that has high stats (health and Shield)
