In this post I will talk about the Venari Crystalsmith card and how it can be incredibly useful for your battles in splinterlands.
For those who don't know it yet it is one of the rare cards of the current rewards so you can get it for free if you are lucky in the chests, but I came to talk about its usefulness in battles so I will talk about it and how to use it and then show it in a battle.
Venari Crystalsmith is a ranged attack card so it is useless in 1st position unless it has the Close Range rule which allows cards like it to attack in 1st position, its attack is not high but it is a good attack for a 4 card mana cost, its speed is also not high and neither is its health, but its main function will be in its abilities but even so it is still a good card to deal damage, especially if you combine it with a summoner like General Sloan.
Now let's talk about her skills and I'll start with Tank Heal which is her most important skill and what makes her so useful in battle, with this skill Venari Crystalsmith heals the card in the first position for 1/3 of its maximum health card so it is an excellent skill to support your allied cards as it will be healing them and making it difficult for them to be defeated.
Its other skill is Dispel which is also a great skill as it makes Venari Crystalsmith clear all negative status from the enemy card it attacks and this will make the card more vulnerable and easier to defeat then Venari Crystalsmith is a very useful card that will greatly benefit your cards in the field.
Now that I've talked about her stats and abilities I'll show her in battle, but first I'll talk about the cards I chose to accompany her.
As a summoner I chose Tyrus Paladium which is an excellent summoner of the life deck that grants +1 shield to all allied cards and the shield is for melee and ranged cards to attack it before dealing damage to the card's life, so It will be very useful to make it difficult for these cards to attack.
To defend the first position I chose Chaos Knight which is an excellent choice of card for this position because it has the ability Shield which makes it take reduced damage from melee and ranged cards, and as these cards are often used so it will be quite useful.
For the second position I chose Stitch Leech and its main function will be to deal damage, it has the ability Sneak that allows you to attack the enemy card in the last position and that will be very useful and also the ability Life Leech that makes it gains life when dealing damage to an enemy card and will also be very useful as it doesn't have much health.
For the third position I chose Time Mage which is a card with magic attack that has 2 very useful abilities which are the Slow which makes enemy cards have their attack speed reduced by 1 and the ability Rust which makes it reduce the shield from enemy cards by 2, so they are very useful abilities and make a big difference in a battle.
For fourth position I chose Mantoid which is a ranged card with the ability Snipe so it will prioritize attacking magic and ranged cards and will be very useful.
For the fifth position I chose Peacebringer which is a ranged card with no abilities but it has a lot of attack and a low mana cost so it's a good choice to deal damage to enemy cards.
For the sixth and last position I chose the Venari Crystalsmith which as I mentioned before will be very useful in healing allied cards and also dealing damage.
In this battle there are the Armored Up rules where all cards gain +2 shield and also the Reverse Speed rule where the lowest speed card attacks first, my opponent chose a summoner that grants melee attack and life to your cards then its offensive power is quite high, besides he has a lot of cards with low speed which will give you an advantage in this battle, but it's still too early to decide anything.
In this first round no cards from either side were defeated but Time Mage was quite useful with her ability Rust which reduces the enemies' shield by 2, so the Armored Up rule is nullified by her for the enemy team, but on the other hand she it has the Slow ability which slows them down so it also gives them the advantage, but I still have good defense.
In the second round my Time Mage was defeated and the enemy cards regained the shield from the Armored Up rule, but they also gained speed as her Slow ability was also nullified, in addition Venari Crystalsmith is healing Chaos Knight well and that helps a lot for him to resist enemy attacks.
In the third round my Venari Crystalsmith was defeated and so was my Chaos Knight and that puts me at a disadvantage as it becomes a 4v3 battle, but it's too early to say the battle is lost.
In the fourth round the game started to change in my favor and my opponent has low life cards so there is still hope of victory.
In the fifth round another card from my opponent was defeated and it became a 2v1 battle in my favor, but one of my ranged cards is in the first position and that means that only my Peacebringer is attacking so if this card is defeated I will lose.
In the sixth round the 2v1 battle continued with only my Peacebringer attacking
In the seventh round the battle came to an end and I managed to defeat my opponent's last card without my Peacebringer reaching the first position so the victory is mine.
That was my battle with Venari Crystalsmith and also my battle for this week's challenge, I close my post here and hope you guys got to see how useful Venari Crystalsmith is for battles.
