Splinterlands - Is Alric Stormbringer still a decaying summoner?

in #splinterlands3 years ago

Let's talk about Alric Stormbringer who is a summoner of the water deck in decay, but even if the water magic deck is less and less used he is still an excellent option to have in your battles as you can win many battles with him without having to spend a lot, so take advantage of it being cheap to rent and buy and have it in your hands.

There's not much to say about Alric Stormbringer, just that he's a water deck summoner that gives +1 magic attack to cards with magic attack, so instead of talking about him I'm going to show him in battle for you have no doubt that he is still a great option.

First I will talk about my composition in battle and then I will show it in action.

As a summoner I chose Alric Stormbringer and as most of my cards on the battlefield have magic attack so he is the best choice.

imag 3.png

In the first position I put Kelp Initiate because the battle had a low mana cost and in my opinion it is a great option in the first position since it has only 2 mana cost and also a lot of agility so its chances of dodging attacks are not are small.

imag 4.png

In the second position we have Djinn Oshannus and he will be the highest attack card on my team, he has 2 magic attack that turns 3 with Alric, he has 10 life so in addition to doing a lot of damage he will still tank many attacks if the first position card is defeated and it also has a high agility so it will be one of the first cards to attack on the battlefield and in addition it also has the void ability that makes it reduce the magic damage received, it is a great card to have next to Alric and I even consider him indispensable for this deck.

imag 8.png

In the third position we have Elven Mystic and I don't have much to say about him, basically I chose him because he is a magic card and also because he has a higher amount of life than the next cards but in general he is expendable.

imag 6.png

In the fourth position we have the Venari Wavesmith and its main function is the protect ability that grants +2 shield to all allied cards, so in the first position with Kelp where it has a chance to dodge because of its speed it will also have a shield and Oshannus who has a lot of health and speed in addition to the void skill will also withstand a lot more attacks not only magical but also physical thanks to the shield, in addition cards that attack the cards from behind usually have physical attack so they will have to go through the shield before they defeat them, Venari Wavesmith is another must-have card for this deck.

imag 7.png

In fifth position we have Ice Pixie and I chose her because she has a low mana cost and also a good amount of speed, in addition she has the fly skill that makes her have a greater chance to dodge attacks, but unfortunately she It has low health, but it's still a great choice for low mana battles.

imag 9.png

And in sixth position we have Xenith Archer and the reason I choose him is the low mana cost, but in general he is not very useful at this level because he has 1 attack and 1 speed so his main function will be to protect the attack cards coming from behind and also because cards with ranged attacks don't attack in first position so they should always be as close to last position as possible.

Now that I've shown my composition in battle so I'll show it in action.

WATCH THE FULL BATTLE

imag 10.png

In this battles as you can see the enemy chose Kelya Frendul as a summoner and she is a great summoner but she is useless against Alric Stormbringer since her greatest use is to shield all allied cards, but when someone chooses Alric as a summoner he prioritizes having a lot of magic cards on the field and magic attacks go through the shield so it makes it practically useless against him.

imag 11.png

At the end of the first round I lost Kelp Initiate but as you can see he took all the enemy attacks in this round so don't hesitate to have him in your battles and especially in the low mana cost ones.

imag 12.png

In the second round their tank had already been defeated and the remaining cards had very little life so most were defeated and in the third round it only took 1 attack to win.

This is the battle I wanted to share and I hope people come back to using Alric because the water magic deck is still an excellent choice.
