Today you will meet an extremely useful death deck card to deal damage and dodge enemy attacks and the best thing is that its mana cost is only 4, amazing isn't it?
This card is Twisted Jester and if you've been playing splinterlands for a while you should know him, but if you don't then I'll introduce you to this post.
Twisted Jester is a rare card from the alpha/beta edition of the death deck and its attack type is ranged, so it will be the type of card you will put in the last positions, but if you want to increase your efficiency then the last position is the best and I will talk about it right below along with its abilities.
As I mentioned before he is a 4 mana cost card but don't be scared by his appearance because you will want to have him by your side, now let's talk about his abilities.
It only has 2 of them and the first is the Snipe ability which makes it attack magic and ranged cards first and this will be very useful as these cards generally have less defenses and are easier to defeat
His second ability is Dodge it gives him a +25% chance to dodge melee and ranged attacks, and you can believe that this ability is very useful because he will dodge a lot of attacks, but if you want to increase his utility in battle so put him in the last position because then he will be very useful against cards with the ability Sneak that attack this position and are usually melee cards, he will dodge many times and do a lot of damage in the meantime.
But it gets better if you see it in practice in a battle so I'll show you.
As a summoner I chose Thaddius Brood which has the function of decreasing the magic attack of enemy cards by 1 and the health of all enemy cards by 1.
In the first position I chose Cursed Windeku which is a great card to defend as it has the ability Heal which heals it and also Thorns which makes enemy melee cards take damage when they attack it.
In second position I chose Skeleton Assassin which is a very useful melee card with low mana cost that has the ability Sneak which makes it attack the enemy card in the last position and the ability Poison which makes it have a chance to apply this effect when attacks a card and deals 2 damage at the end of the round to it.
In third position I chose Venari Bonesmith which also has the ability Poison and has the ability Life Leech which makes it gain health when attacking an enemy card and as it doesn't have much health so it's quite useful.
In fourth position I chose the Haunted Spider which is a low mana cost ranged card that also has the ability Poison (I think it has a lot of poison in this battle).
In fifth and last position I chose the Twisted Jester which as I mentioned before will do a lot of damage and also dodge a lot of attacks because of its ability Dodge.
Now that you know the cards I used then it's time to show the battle.
BATTLE
My opponent also chose the Thaddius Brood card but in his case it will have more advantages since I have a card with magic attack and he doesn't, even so my Thaddius Brood will still remove 1 life from him so it will be very useful.
Both sides also have Cursed Windeku but mine is stronger as it has the ability Heal and it has a lot of cards with the ability Sneak and this increases the utility of Twisted Jester as the attacks of these cards will be directed at it, and its ability Dodge will help give it a chance to dodge these attacks.
It wasn't a long battle because it only lasted 2 rounds but both sides had a lot of attack and my opponent's biggest mistake was choosing cards that had low health and that made it a lot easier for my cards to defeat them.
My Twisted Jester ended up being defeated but it did good damage while on the field and also made it easier for Cursed Windeku to defend since he received most of the attacks in the first round, after that my opponents' cards were being defeated one after the other and the result of the battle was me winning.
For being a low mana cost card and a good utility, in addition to having a lot of attack, Twisted Jester becomes a great choice to have by your side and this was my battle for the challenge of the week and also my card tip.
