Today I'm going to talk about one of the few survivors of the race of Giants who still live in splinterlands and you've probably seen him in his battles because his incredible power resonates over all splinterlands, the card I'm going to talk about is the famous Magnor and if you haven't already know him then today you will know him.
As I mentioned before Magnor is a survivor of the race of Giants and one of the few that still exist as the war wiped out most of them but Magnor still continues to live his life and tend to the rivers and lava banks that are always flowing under the melted mountains and that makes it meaningful for him to belong in the fire deck as he is surrounded by it. Also Magnor is a legendary card from the untamed edition, but what makes him famous is his status and abilities and that's what I'm going to talk about in this post.
First let's talk about his stats where he excels in attack and life and since he is a card that is usually used in the first position so the ideal is to have a focus on this part, but calm down that he still gets stronger with his skills. Also he has 10 mana cost which is quite high and also makes him the target of the Giant Killer skill but that makes sense since he is a giant.
Now let's talk about his abilities and see if he really is a card worth using because spending 10 mana in a battle without it being worth it would be a total waste and would also lead you to defeat.
At level 1 he has the Taunt skill and it's the only skill he has at that level, it makes all attacks always be directed at Magnor while he's on the battlefield (if possible) but the vast majority will be directed at he is what matters because he has a lot of health so he will withstand a lot of attacks and defend the back cards from receiving attacks and being defeated early on as they tend to have low health. So it's an excellent defensive skill and will become even more useful with the skill I'm going to talk about next.
At level 2 he also has the Enrage skill and this skill makes him increase his stats by 1.5x when attacked so as the Taunt skill makes him the target of enemy attacks the Enrage skill will always be activated and as he has it a lot of attack this will become even bigger and your speed that before was reasonable will become high, unfortunately this doesn't apply to your life but just having your attack and speed drastically increased is already a danger for whoever is playing against.
At level 3 he already has the Trample skill and now that it starts to get more interesting because if you thought Magnor's attack was high and with the Enrage skill something surreal then imagine him having the chance to attack 2x? that's what the Trample card is for because when Magnor defeats a card with his attack (which won't be difficult since it will have a lot of damage for that) he will still attack the next card again, it seems that the chances of the team opponent win have decreased a lot don't you agree?
And to top it off at level 4 he has the Return Fire skill and this skill makes him gain more value as a defensive card as it will deal a lot of damage back to ranged cards that attack him, so let's assume that a card with 3 ranged attack hit Magnor then this card will receive 2 attack back, it will be half the damage back but the value always pulled up as it wouldn't be able to do half of 3 as damage that would be 1.5, so in addition to being an excellent card for attack, it will also be great for defense and I think there is no better combination than this.
But although I say that Magnor is a famous card, the edition of chaos legion greatly diminished its fame because with its arrival many cards also came and took the place of old cards so they started to be used less often and I say that from my own experience because before chaos legion I fought Magnor in most of the battles against the fire deck and nowadays it has decreased a lot, but I also see it as an opportunity because I consider it a very strong card and its price has dropped because of that then nothing better than an opportunity to buy him cheaper, but of course it's my opinion and everyone has their strategies but I think it's worth keeping an eye on Magnor because you never know when he'll come back with everything.
This is the current value of Magnor but a while ago it was costing more than that so all I see looking at these values is an opportunity to go shopping and think about it in the future.
Another important thing is also an incredible combination with a summoner that Magnor has and that summoner is Qid Yuff and he grants the Piercing ability to all allied cards, so just imagine the destructive power that Magnor has and along with the Piercing ability not even shields will stop this guy, if you think about using Magnor in battle after this post then it's worth a try using him with Qid Yuff because it's an amazing combo.
And these are my observations about this letter and I hope it returns to its glory days like before (although it's not that long ago), this is my post for today and I hope you liked it.
