Goblin Mech, an all-occasion tank card in splinterlands.

in #splinterlands3 years ago

Today we are going to talk about goblins, although they are very poorly seen in the stories they are not that uncommon in splinterlands, but the goblin I will talk about is the Goblin Mech.

When I started in splinterlands this was a very common card to use as it has a very high attack even at low levels so when I played in bronze league it was pretty boring to deal with, but who is Goblin Mech?

Goblin Mech is a common neutral deck card that has very high stats but its mana cost is not low at all, to be more specific it has 10 mana cost so it can already be a victim of the giant killer ability that deals double damage for cards with a mana cost of 10 or higher, but that's not what I'm here to talk about today.

In addition to having a great attack the Globin Mech also has the piercing ability that allows it to pass through enemy armor and deal damage if its attack is superior to armor, I will leave a better description below, but that means shields are not a big deal for this card.

Piercing - If Melee or Ranged attack damage is in excess of the target's Armor, the remainder will damage the target's Health.

But let's talk about this card at level 6 or above which is the level I usually use it since it has the stun skill that can let the enemy card reach incapacitated for 1 turn and this can make a big difference in battle, so in addition to having a lot of attack and a good defense the Goblin Mech can still leave his enemies incapacitated and just waiting for them to be defeated by him.

Stun - When a Monster with Stun hits a target, it has a 50% chance to stun the target causing it to skip turns until the stunning monster had its turn. This may cause some monsters to miss 2 turns or to miss 0 turns.

But let's talk about the composition I usually use with it and since it's a card with a very high mana cost so I recommend using it in battles with high mana cost.

As a summoner I chose Tyrus Paladium since in the battle I'm going to show the use of magic cards was not allowed so having a shield is something very useful since it defends melee and ranged attacks, but as the life deck has a lot of defense so it's not a bad idea to use a Mother Khala or a Lorna Shine.

And for the first position we have today's star which is the Goblin Mech which is the team's tank card and as you can see it is at level 8 having 5 attack which is something incredibly high and also 7 shield so it may have I'm sure he will give a lot of work to the enemy since there are no magic cards on the battlefield.

imag 3.png

To defend if the Goblin Mech is defeated we have the Luminous Eagles that has good agility and the fly skill so dodging attacks shouldn't be a big problem for her, in addition it also has 1 shield which is very useful in this battle as it has more is always better.

And after Luminouns Eagles we have the Cave Slug that has a reasonable amount of attack but they have little speed, but it has the Scavenger skill that makes him gain +1 hp for each card defeated on the battlefield so if he needs to defend then he will have a good amount of hp, but what makes him shine is the opportunity skill that makes him do the final attack on enemy cards.

imag 6.png

In the fourth position we have the Venari Crystalsmith that is the support of the team since it has the ability tank heal to heal the card in the first position and also the ability dispel that cleans all the positive effects of the enemy card it attacks.

imag 7.png

In the fifth position we have Peacebringer which is one of the cards with the highest damage in the team so its only function is to deal as much damage as possible to the enemy.

imag 8.png

In the sixth and last position we have the Silvershield Sheriff who, in addition to being one of the cards with the highest damage, plays a very important role because of the protect ability that gives +2 shield to all his cards on the field and how a battle is no magic cards so this is essential for victory and i put him in last place because of this ability and because he has a lot of health so he will defend a lot against monsters that attack the back row.

Now that I've talked about which cards I'm going to use in battle, let's show her.

FULL BATTLE

In this battle, the enemy team has a very high offensive power since its summoner is General Sloan and 2 of its cards have 4 ranged damage that now have 5 damage and a card with 2 damage that has 3 and still attacks 2x per round so it's a lot.

In addition he has good cards in the front line as Uriel the Purifier takes a lot of damage and still has the heal ability to recover from them but his weakness is having the recharge ability which is a very strong ability since it deals 3x the attack but it needs 1 turn to charge and that's when the Goblin Mech comes into action as it has the stun skill so the chances of it leaving Uriel unable to attack is quite high and Uriel's defense is not so great to handle for so long.

Despite their team having very high offensive power they have little defense so it was just a matter of time for my team to win, as you can see attack is not always everything.

This is the battle I wanted to show, and will the goblins be seen well after that? Bye.
