A Milestone in My Splinterlands Journey!

My First Post 1600x900.png

First of all, I would like to thanks everyone for dropping by on my first ever post, I had been a battle mage in this land of splintering for a while, courtesy of my brother @satorihime for referring me to the game. While not particularly good at it, I sure have enjoyed the game for its simplicity, and making some $$$ here and there.

Since I'm now on my school break, I have more time to commit in the game, from starting my blogging journey, to joining several tournaments.

And that's exactly what I'm gonna talk about today, Splinterlands Tournaments!

There's always some tournaments being held, with varying fees and requirements, and just recently I joined this one hosted by Metafrens. Okay so it was actually a private tournament for their discord members, which at first I didn't knew about.

Ps: I eventually learned most of the time you can get to the host discord server by clicking here, so convenient, long live hyperlink!

Since I didn't join their discord at first, by a stroke of luck I managed to guess the password for the tournaments and joined because I mean, 1 DEC entry fee and such delish payout?? No way I'm missing out. And by another stroke of luck I somehow managed to get a clean sweep on the 2 rounds 24 hours each anytime tourney. Elated is an understatement, this is the first tournament ever where I did so well like, look at that will ya? 😎 😎

And it only costed me around 138 DEC of card rentals, which btw was already breakeven by Ranked game grinds, so this was a very happy moment.

But alas one man's joy is another man's sorrow..... Okay that's an exaggeration but you get the gist. So when I joined the Metafrens discord server to claim my pack, I learned that me joining their tournament illegally might have caused some actual members not able to join since max participants was only 32. So me and my brother, who btw was a partner in crime of joining, reached out to the host @namelessnameless to apologize but the community was very warm and even invited us for the next one which apparently they host every end of season. Yay!! Just saying but you guys might wanna take a look at what Metafrens is, I'm only in for a short while yet I'd seen some promising things along with the friendly community.

All in all I learned that I should mind my manners and not just barge into any tournaments I see, would be more careful going forward. But this definitely sparked my interest to join more tournaments, especially the low entry fees one. Hoping to amass enough SPS to join the Kobold one. But for starter, I'm gonna start sleeping early to hunt down @clove71 tournaments more consistently at about 6/7 am aaaaaaaaaa, those seems like a very good and easy way to breakeven with my rentals. I think I only managed to join a few so far, and most of the time won something, so the only enemy is my sleepy-self 😖.

To close the post, I'll say not to be afraid, and just take the leap and join some tournaments! Would be fun to have more fodders or challengers (whichever u guys are) in the brackets!. For those who haven't started playing, feel free to use my referral and get some extra funds to kickstart your own journey!!
