Hi all,
Introduction
Another post in this series. Thank you for your support in the previous posts 😊
This series intends to determine if there are other aspects of cards that may contribute to increasing its value. Based on your feedback I can focus on more/other things – so feel free to tell me where you want me to go into further detail.
I include some analysis on where the cards fit in terms of gameplay, strategy, comparison with other cards, and a market analysis of its price. Feel free to suggest what more do you want me to look into in this series, and your support is much appreciated!
In this edition I will be looking at the Djinn Apprentice.

Comparative Analysis
How does this card compare to other similar ones?
Vs. Tenyii Striker (Fire): Tenyii Striker has Sneak and Dodge, offering more mobility and survivability, whereas Djinn Apprentice provides consistent, armor-piercing Magic damage.
Vs. Venari Spellsmith (Neutral): Venari Spellsmith has Amplify, making it better in Reflection Shield and Thorns-based setups, while Djinn Apprentice is better for raw Magic damage output.
Vs. Djinn Inferni (Fire): Djinn Inferni has Stun and Giant Killer, making it more effective against high-mana enemies, whereas Djinn Apprentice is cheaper and better for general use.
Key Takeaway
Djinn Apprentice is a low-cost, high-damage Magic attacker that scales well with levels. While it lacks versatility, Deathblow makes it a lethal finisher in 1v1 situations.
Synergies
Best Pairings:
Delwyn Dragonscale (Dragon Splinter): Increases its Magic damage, making Deathblow even more devastating.
Obsidian (Earth Splinter): Boosts its Magic Attack, making it a solid pick in Earth Magic teams.
Jacek (Fire Splinter): Grants +2 Speed, making Djinn Apprentice attack faster and secure Deathblow kills before the enemy attacks.
Splinter Synergies:
Fire Splinter: Works well in Magic-heavy Fire builds, especially with Djinn Inferni.
Dragon Splinter: Can be paired with Magic-boosting summoners for a burst-damage strategy.
Earth Splinter: Works under Obsidian's Magic buff, turning it into a high-damage attacker.
Ruleset Performance
Favorable Rulesets:
Weak Magic: Since it lacks Armor, this rule doesn’t hinder it much, while enemies with Armor suffer more.
Fog of War: Since Sneak and Snipe are disabled, it remains safe in the backline.
Noxious Fumes: Works well if paired with a healer, since its Magic damage bypasses Armor.
Challenging Rulesets:
Lost Magic: Completely disables it, making it unplayable.
Reverse Speed: Its higher Speed at max level (4) makes it less effective.
Market Analysis
Price Overview
Regular Foil: $0.05–$0.10 per BCX
Gold Foil: $1.20–$2.50 per BCX
Investment Potential
A budget-friendly Magic attacker with strong Deathblow potential, but situational compared to other Magic units.
Conclusion
Djinn Apprentice is a strong mid-mana Magic attacker with consistent damage and a high-risk, high-reward Deathblow ability. While it lacks early-game abilities, its scaling Magic damage and Deathblow make it a deadly finisher. Now tradable due to the unbinding of Soulbound cards, it remains a solid pick for Magic-based Fire and Dragon strategies.
