Hi all,
Introduction
Another post in this series. Thank you for your support in the previous posts 😊
This series intends to determine if there are other aspects of cards that may contribute to increasing its value. Based on your feedback I can focus on more/other things – so feel free to tell me where you want me to go into further detail.
I include some analysis on where the cards fit in terms of gameplay, strategy, comparison with other cards, and a market analysis of its price. Feel free to suggest what more do you want me to look into in this series, and your support is much appreciated!
In this edition I will be looking at the Gargoya Devil.

Comparative Analysis
How does this card compare to other similar ones?
Vs. Pelacor Arbalest (Life): Pelacor Arbalest has Double Strike, making it a burst damage dealer, while Gargoya Devil has Deathblow, making it stronger in 1v1 situations. Gargoya Devil’s Flying ability gives it better survivability against melee and ranged attacks.
Vs. Dhampir Bowman (Death): Dhampir Bowman has Cripple and Piercing, making him a consistent damage dealer. Gargoya Devil is better in Earthquake rulesets due to Flying and can deal double damage with Deathblow in clutch situations.
Vs. Runic Skyclaw (Dragon): Runic Skyclaw has Scattershot, making it unpredictable. Gargoya Devil is more focused on finishing off single targets, making it reliable in 1v1 scenarios.
Key Takeaway
Gargoya Devil is a versatile, neutral Flying ranged attacker that can fight from the front, evade attacks, and deal double damage in late-game situations.
Synergies
Best Pairings:
General Sloan (Life Summoner): Increases Ranged attack, making Gargoya Devil hit harder.
Dax Paragon (Life Monster): Provides Amplify, boosting Magic Reflect, Thorns, and Return Fire for defensive setups.
Luminous Eagle (Life Monster): Another Flying unit that works well in Earthquake battles.
Pelacor Conjurer (Life Tank): Can absorb Magic damage while Gargoya Devil provides backline support.
Splinter Synergies:
Life Splinter: Best choice, as General Sloan boosts Ranged attack.
Dragon Splinter: Pair with Quix the Devious to slow enemy teams while maintaining strong ranged pressure.
Death Splinter: Works well with Thaddius Brood, who weakens enemy Magic damage while Gargoya Devil stays safe in the backline.
Ruleset Performance
Favorable Rulesets:
Earthquake: Flying makes it immune to Earthquake damage.
Close Range: Can already attack from the first position, making it effective.
Equal Opportunity: Can focus on squishy enemies, potentially landing Deathblow earlier.
Challenging Rulesets:
Reverse Speed: With 2 Speed, it is too fast to take advantage of this ruleset.
Weak Magic: Does not benefit much from this, as it relies on ranged attacks.
Armored Up: Low base attack means it struggles against high Armor monsters.
Market Analysis
Price Overview
Regular Foil: $0.05–$0.12 per BCX
Gold Foil: $1.50+ per BCX
Investment Potential
Budget-friendly Neutral Ranged card. Strong Earthquake playmaker, making it a good niche pick.
