in #splinterlands7 days ago

Hi all,

Introduction

Another post in this series. Thank you for your support in the previous posts 😊

This series intends to determine if there are other aspects of cards that may contribute to increasing its value. Based on your feedback I can focus on more/other things – so feel free to tell me where you want me to go into further detail.
I include some analysis on where the cards fit in terms of gameplay, strategy, comparison with other cards, and a market analysis of its price. Feel free to suggest what more do you want me to look into in this series, and your support is much appreciated!
In this edition I will be looking at the Silent Sha-Vi.

Gameplay Analysis

Silent Sha-Vi is a Common Death Melee Monster from the Chaos Legion Core Set. As a fast and aggressive Sneak attacker, it excels at targeting enemy backlines. With its Cripple and Piercing abilities at higher levels, it becomes even more effective at wearing down enemies and dealing full damage through Armor.

Mana Cost: 5
Attack Type: Melee
Abilities:
Level 1: Sneak (Targets the last enemy in the opponent’s lineup)
Level 6: Cripple (Reduces the target’s max Health with each hit)
Level 10: Piercing (Excess damage carries over after breaking Armor)

Level-Based Insights

Level 1:
Stats: 2 Melee Attack, 3 Speed, 4 Health.
Sneak makes it an early-game backline threat.

Level 3:
Gains +1 Speed (4 total), making it faster and harder to hit.

Level 5:

Level 6:
Unlocks Cripple, reducing the enemy’s max Health on each hit, making it especially useful against tanks or Healers.

Level 8:

Level 10:
Unlocks Piercing, allowing it to bypass Armor and deal damage directly to Health when the target’s Armor is broken.
Gains +1 Melee Attack (4 total), making it an extremely dangerous backline finisher.

Comparative Analysis

How does this card compare to other similar ones?

Vs. Uraeus (Neutral): Uraeus has Poison at Level 5, making it deadlier over time, but Silent Sha-Vi has higher base damage and Cripple for extra utility.
Vs. Pelacor Bandit (Water): Pelacor Bandit has Flying and lower mana cost (3), making it better in Little League, but Silent Sha-Vi is a much stronger offensive option in standard battles.
Vs. Dhampir Stalker (Death): Dhampir Stalker deals True Strike Ranged damage, but Silent Sha-Vi has Sneak and Piercing, making it better for backline disruption.

Key Takeaway
Silent Sha-Vi is an excellent backline assassin with Cripple for tank disruption and Piercing for Armor-breaking. It becomes an extremely powerful Sneak attacker at Level 10 with its high attack power and strong utility abilities.

Synergies

Best Pairings:
Thaddius Brood (Death Splinter): Reduces enemy Magic power, making Silent Sha-Vi more likely to survive.
Cursed Windeku (Death Splinter): Serves as a strong frontline tank, allowing Silent Sha-Vi to freely attack the backline.
Night Ghoul (Death Splinter): Taunt draws attacks away, keeping Silent Sha-Vi safe to strike from behind.
Weaken Monsters (Like Doctor Blight): Reducing enemy max Health combines well with Cripple, making it harder for opponents to survive.

Splinter Synergies:
Death Splinter: Cripple and Piercing work well with Death’s debuff-heavy playstyle.
Dragon Splinter: Can be used with powerful Dragon support cards to enhance its survivability and damage.

Ruleset Performance

Favorable Rulesets:
Super Sneak: Gains more targets, making it even more dangerous.
Melee Mayhem: Can attack from any position, increasing its effectiveness.
Stampede: If paired with Trample monsters, it can contribute to huge chain attacks.

Challenging Rulesets:
Reverse Speed: Its high Speed makes it less effective.
Thorns: Suffers when hitting retaliatory damage tanks like Cursed Windeku.
Fog of War: Loses its Sneak ability, reducing its impact.

Market Analysis

Price Overview
Regular Foil: $0.04–$0.12 per BCX
Gold Foil: $1.00–$2.00 per BCX

Investment Potential
Highly used in Death Sneak strategies, making it a valuable low-mana investment.

Conclusion

Silent Sha-Vi is a powerful backline assassin with Sneak, Cripple, and Piercing, making it an essential card for Death Splinter strategies. Its speed, scaling attack, and armor-piercing potential make it a top-tier Sneak attacker in Splinterlands.
