Welcome back to our Weekly Battle Mage Secrets!
This week, we are featuring the Ferocity ruleset.
Ferocity:
- All units have the Fury ability.
- Think carefully before including a unit with Taunt in your lineup as they will take double damage from units with Fury.
Ferocity is the anti Taunt ability. This ruleset spices things up because you're hurting yourself by bringing a Taunt monster in the lineup. Try to avoid it as much as possible if you can. Synergies and Counters will be a bit different due to this ruleset because you're trying to think if you should insert a Taunt tank in the lineup while also thinking if the opponent will do the same. It'll be best to go with catch all synergies and counters instead.

| Shatter is a good one to use for this ruleset because regardless of having an enemy Taunt or not, you'll be able to break the armor easily and deal out more damage. | ||||||||||||||||||||
Pierce is also a good one to have due to going through armor. This can be a good game changer especially for lower mana rulesets. |
| Rounding us out for the synergies is Void Armor. Whether you decide to use a Taunt tank or not, this will be a good addition. |
This week's feature is from a regular match in Diamond League. Rulesets are as follows:
We have another low mana ruleset and suffice to say, we'll want to opt out of using a Taunt on this one entirely and the enemy would most likely do the same. Round 1In this match, I opted to go with a Kelya while my opponent went with a Quix - Life combo. The Kra'ar Xoc is a good front line because it has scavanger together with the Vulguine which has the same ability. Of course the biggest worry here is the enemy Jared Scar with the Pierce and Bloodlust ability. Round 2At the beginning of round 2, both Fiends have kicked the bucket. Chaos Agent also goes down and the biggest unfortunate thing to happen was that I missed one hit against the enemy Naga Assassin which not only does backfire, it also gives the Jared Scar a chance to not get an extra hit from my backliners. The bloodlust counter has begun. Time isn't on our side. Round 3Round 3 starts with essentially the filler monsters all gone and further feeding Jared Scar more bloodlust stacks. The pierce is doing work and it's not looking good. There is a poison debuff on it but it looks like it won't be enough. Round 4Jared Scar is the MVP of this match and it played well to the enemy's favor. There's no going around it and I think that initial miss on Naga Assassin could have been a game changer but that's RNG for you. ResultsGG! Jared Scar too strong on this one! Good points to consider if you can slot it in on lower mana matches. Ferocity doesn't have much of an impact for these types of matches so it's largely a non factor. That's it for this one and see you next week! Full battle here. *Images provided by Splinterlands in game and via Weekly Battle Mage Challenge post.
