We finally met in real life! We've been planning this for a while back and even with the market sentiment, we wanted to at least be able to get it kicked off to start and have more meetups in the future.
Island Representatives
All three of us here come from different islands. For those that don't know, the Philippines has around 7000 islands and is roughly divided into three major provinces Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Suteru is from Luzon while Levelup and I are from Visayas.
It was a good coincidence that Suteru had his company team building scheduled here in Cebu where I'm from and Levelup, who's around 4 hours away via boat, was also looking to have some R&R.
Cebu, where I'm from is kind of like the local hub in Visayas so it's a good place to get together and has pretty much everything you need, too.
Coffee and Dinner
Levelup and I met up first as we weren't sure if Suteru would make it as he was out and about and was swimming with Baakjira. See photo below. That Baakjira should be a level 2 with heal already. Lol.
Splinterlands Sentiment
Levelup and I talked for a good few hours and when Suteru came, we were able to deep dive into a lot more things about Splinterlands. We covered various topics like how the overall crypto market is going, various outlooks on the game, cards, and of course, land. We're still very positive with how the game is progressing and the downtrend isn't necessarily caused by the game but by the market overall. This means that you can potentially get in for cheaper if you want to build and hold assets for the long term.
We already talk very often on discord (link below, come join us!) but it's good to meet in real life, too. Putting names to faces not just online but in person goes a long way. The bear market has lesser interest but having more frequent meetups like these even at a smaller group as of now, will lay the foundation of having more meetups with more people in the future. We'll continue to post notices for future meetups and if any one can make it, that'd be great.
